Had 2 letters and today a text saying we are still looking at your claim.

Such a long time to wait now. I claimed in 2016 when my daughter was on home oxygen and it was processed within 3 weeks!

Scan Date: 12/02 - I called on Thursday and was told to wait until the 5th of July. If I don't hear back by then, I should call again. Every time we call, we get a different story, and we have only called four times in 16 weeks on Monday.

We feel that the outcome will be a decline, as our son's EHC has been rejected. This is very disappointing and stressful because we truly believe he needs it, and his teacher, who knows him better than we do(school-wise), actually requested the EHC.

Honestly just because you have been denied for the EHC dosnt mean anything regarding DLA, its completely different, dla is how your child is at home during day and night time and what evidence you can provide for this, My daughter has just been awarded HRC LRM, she hasn't got a EHC, she is in year one, she is working at beginning reception level, she is way behind, I sent CAHMS referral letter and a short report of her teacher and the forms i filled out, you just need to be honest in the forms xx

Ah I don't have a cidtco card, but Mt partner buys this powdered energy drink stuff called G-Fuel which is handy, saves on us going to the shop for the cans, I do love my coffee too but I don't drink it as much as I used to, I wouldn't mind costco trips for energy drinks mind😂

Being declined an EHCP doesn't mean you won't get DLA hun, it's frustrating they're telling you to wait until July but I highly doubt it'll take that long! Will keep fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you! 🤞🏻

Ahh how long have you got until you're going to go theough for mobility? We have a while yet thankfully, basically when award ends but I'm dreading having to reapply🙈

@ADT13 I would appeal the EHCP decision if yourself and school feel he needs it and he exhibits violent behaviours or lack of communication or non verbal excetra then it should of been approved we’re in the process of doing my sons after the HT and my friends has just been approved for the same reasons xx

He turns 5 in December just before Christmas so it's not the best time of year to be filling out forms again 🫣 just the thought of doing it all again in 6 months scares the life out of me lol x

Scan date 20/02 hoping for some news soon 🤞

Scan date 21/2. Called yesterday and told it was with a case manager but may still take until 20 weeks for a decision to be made. Asked if it was worth sending additional evidence at this point and was told no, it wouldn't be scanned in time 🧐

I called yesterday and was told the same information.
My scan date is 15/02.
I am seeing quite a few people around this date being awarded so it's easy to presume we'll be next, but my pessimistic mind tells me not to presume that 🤣🤣

Im 16/2, I’ve called 3 times, first time they said it would go to dm at 15 weeks then it would take 1-2 weeks for a decision, second time I was told I would hear by the end of may, but I only turned 15 weeks yesterday so i didn’t call to check, and the third was on Wednesday and he said it’s with dm and I would get a text in the next week, so all roughly around the same timeframe they’ve told me, I’m going to call Tuesday when my children are back at school

So we don’t go into decision makers pile until we are least 15 weeks basically?😱 how can they justify that backlog 🤯 think it’s about time they got extra workers in 🤷🏻‍♀️

@SB1994 I have the same scan date as you I'm also waiting to hear. Fingers crossed 🤞it's soon.
