scan date 12.2 I’ve just spoke to the most rudest man ever. I said I’m just ringing up for an update on my daughter claim. He asked me for what and I said for dla. He said for “for god sake” what one. I was like I’m really don’t know. He then dismissed my scan date saying it wasn’t 15 weeks (it’s is). I’m ringing back now to see if anyone is more helpful. I’ve never know stress like it

That’s what puts me off ringing hopefully you get a nicer person next time

Unbelievable, same scan date here. Ask next time for the name, and make a complain.
It is unacceptable to talk that way with us.

When I rang last week they said they was working on 26th Feb MR they seem to work so slow

that is exactly a week before my date, think I'll just sit tight for another week or so! x

How are you getting on with your claim? Have you heard anything yet?

What makes me laugh is they say they won’t tolerate rudeness to their staff. But okay to speak to us like sh*t.

I honestly think they've had enough of me ringing now even though I'm convinced it will be tribunal route we have to take x

@Fee89 sadly got a letter which said 11 weeks so I don't have a leg to stand on 😭🤧. I'm just mostly glad that the evidence is there and scanned in, I was worried it would be lost and then end up with rejection again. Hopefully you can get yours done faster!

Hi all I've just rang to see what was happening with my sons claim, couldn't understand the man on phone he wasn't very useful either, scan date is 18th March but he did say 20 week wait basically that was it 🙄

• Two letters
• Two texts last week, on Monday and Tuesday, stating that they are still looking at the claim.
• I called last week and was told to call again in early July if I don't hear from them as the claim is not even with the decision maker.

I only called twice during this period, so I don't understand why they treated me as if I’m calling every day. I will call again on Friday. My plan is to call once a week now, as we are over 15 weeks into this process. Let me know how it goes with yours. I'll keep you updated with our claim.

I’ve just spoke to another lovely lady. She said it will be looked at 15 weeks, so I can only assume this week. And they take a couple of weeks. So hopefully soon 😥

so I called them lol it’s still not been picked up 😩 but the guy was lovely on phone told him to put a note on I would like a txt when finally sorted will be 16 weeks Thursday wish I just asked for priority when I left work last month , hopefully not be to much longer now tho 🤞🤞

Nope. Said they will look at when it’s 15 weeks which was last week. And then will have a decision in a couple of weeks after that. So I can only assume they will look at this week. So annoying

They have a really bad system. I have no idea why they are not doing this online. It would save all that paper and reduce the need for so many call handlers. They could spend that money on more decision makers instead. Moving the process online would be more efficient and environmentally friendly, and it would likely speed up the decision-making process significantly

Glad they were at least nice on phone it truly is pot luck ain't it who you speak to 😬 your scan date near mine isn't it mines 6/2 I got told with decision maker couple of weeks ago now and still not heard but waiting till 20 weeks to call again. I'm not priority though maybe when you next ring mention about circumstances with job? Xx

Congratulations to everyone that has been rewarded today !! And good luck to the rest of us xxxx . I am so hoping for HRC and HRM because I know my son fits the criteria but I'm so paranoid that I haven't filled the form in properly and what if they bring him down from what we are already receiving which MRC and no mobility. Scan date is 4/03 so probably won't know till July .

Just after some advice please. My DS claim has been renewed but I'm not sure whether he is receiving the correct rate for care.
He has hypermobility and mild cerebral palsy, and has to do daily physio exercises, which he hates now he's 11. I have to supervise him otherwise he won't do them. This takes between 30-45 minutes a day. He also suffers from chronic constipation and I regularly have to sit with him. He's on medication for this and has been for years. Since the end of last year he's suffered from this painful stomach issue that also gets hard and bloats out. He's had tests and examinations at drs, hospitals and even his paediatrician. Several different diagnosis where the treatment hasn't worked. Nobody knows what it is. He's been referred to a consultant but that appointment isn't until September! He is in a lot of pain each day with this. Finally he has sleep issues. Wakes several times a night, and takes forever to settle again.

On the letter from DLA they've acknowledged his night time care needs, but haven't mentioned anything about daytime. Would this be the same rate if both night and day care needs?

I hope it doesn't seem like I'm being grabby and I am grateful that the claim has been renewed but he unfortunately has a lot more going on medically than he did in the previous claim. Since the stomach issue, I've had to take a lot of unpaid days off work and each and every a&e visit (that our GP has told us to go to) has cost so so much in parking. For it still not to be resolved.

Oh wow yours has been with dm long mines probably looking at another two weeks at least then , definitely be easier all online you could check yourself then for updates I think I’ll try wait another week can’t be to long now
