I would also like to say I didn’t have loads of evidence and they DID NOT contact her school.

What evidence did you send hun x

Mialeighx · 22/05/2024 16:47

Just been thinking, maybe delays on claims with earlier dates could be due to awaiting evidence from further people (schools,HV, Drs,SALT..) so people with later dates could be awarded due to no further checks needed as evidence sent could cover enough if this makes sense? 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a thought on how the dates of awards are all over the place 🤔

Her diagnosis letter . And an observation report from her care coordinator at CYPS. It was very detailed . That’s it though x

The 456 is disabled child element for a child on hrc and the 185 is carers element on uc you can also claim carers allowance that's separate from. Uc

It’s £487.58 now after the increase in April. Carers is more also.

Thank you. I'm over the moon.

Mialeighx · 22/05/2024 17:18

Seems as though they are flying through the dates now, congratulations everybody awarded today!

Jempeech · 22/05/2024 17:27

If both children have a disability benefit do you get it for them both ?

I'm not 100% but I think you get the disabled Child element for them both but only carers element for one

Just been awarded scan date 31/1

Can someone please try work out what's been awarded. Back pay 2110 and its 16 weeks exactly. I printed off papers so I don't have a date prior to the 16 weeks. Thank you

Seems like HRC LRM , £2110 divided by 16 weeks works out around £131 something a week HRC £108.55 a week which makes £434.20 a month and low rate mobility is £28.70 a week which makes £114.80 so total per month is £549 your total of £2110 divided by 16 X by 4 weeks is £527 a month for the 16 weeks u was waiting rates went up only in April so probably why it’s a bit less hope this helps x

@Newtothisnow I received a text today to say my daughter has been awarded so I would ring them up and ask ! Then you can start the ball rolling for the next part

Thank you for this. I did almost immediately after getting the text and it’s HRC and LM 😊

Not dla related but pip iv just had the assessment call for my 16yr old out of the blue I expected to be told a date for it so think iv completely messed it up 🤦‍♀️😢

My 16 year old son is currently moving from dla to pip and I received a text this morning with a date and time for a phone assessment for him so they should have gave you notice . Can I ask if it was your child they wanted to speak to or you . I’m so nervous about it for him . I have requested to be his appointee and filled the form for him as he doesn’t understand the questions he’s asked .

Newtothisnow · 22/05/2024 17:47

Hi everyone. I know this has been asked but I can’t find the screen shot! Which part on my UC journal do I report the DLA award?

I'm her appointee so they only asked to speak to me luckily as she was at school and with her social anxiety wouldn't have been able to answer on her own
Iv checked email and txt and all I have is one from 8th may saying they will look at the available evidence and will contact me with an appointment if they need to have a consultation with me

Thank you so much 😊. When I say which date the change occurred, do I do it from the scan date on DLA?

No the date dla awarded you from which is usually the day you request the forms x

Char3940 · 22/05/2024 18:51

Do I send extra evidence to the same address I sent my application to?

Summerrp · 22/05/2024 19:39

Was anyone else's claim marked 'urgent' due to timescale and situation? if so how long did it take after this ? Thank you. Really nice advisor said I'm marking this as urgent straight away and said I should hear very soon. I guess wishing thinking to wonder if I will hear back before the Bank Holiday
