DLA wait time thread 42

31/01. I’m not sure how they can justify people getting decisions with a scan date of March when people from December are still waiting. If so, I would like to know the reasons why from them!
I mean, unless they are waiting for info from elsewhere, that’s fine. But otherwise, what is their justified reason for it? I will ask tomorrow when I call x

Give them a call tomorrow and explain, hopefully they look at it urgently because there was few with your date getting a Decision made Xx

Hi, my daughter is 14, same symptoms as your daughter. She is academically bright, masks, so school won’t support an EHCP and I know that.I haven’t asked cause I know. School are supporting my daughter fantastically so not wasting my time just now however, post 16- yes I will and I plan to do it in Y10 for transition to Y12. Starting September. Ask the school for support for Post 16. They will help you. Not sure what year your child is but a key EHCP timeline is Y10 x

Morning, anyone giving them a call to see any news? I'm tempted scan date 5/02 even to see if it's with a decision maker as I wasn't on Monday and still wanna know if extra evidence has been scanned on

I rang last week to advise financial hardship due to childcare costs and changing childcare setting. Scan date was 09/02 and have had a payment this morning for what I think is middle rate care - 2.5 year old with no diagnosis but on a few wait lists and had some bits of evidence.

Morning all - good luck to those still waiting for a decision, like myself. I can't wait until Friday to call, so I'm calling today!

So just rang, and Monday I resent the evidence adding an extra letter from peadiatrician, they received it yesterday and scanned that on my claim yesterday but the stuff I sent 2 and half weeks ago never got scanned but happy it's on my claim now and still in holding pile scan date 5/02

Just phoned again this morning, still told the same as yesterday that it’ll be with a DM by next week or end of this week scan date 01/02
going to hold off ringing until next week, fingers crossed!

scan date 25/1, been with a DM since 11am Monday, rang today still no decision told it should only be a few days but who knows! My anxiety is through the roof just feel like I’m pacing with the waiting now!

Just rang, i done daughter's MR request by later so wanted to make sure it had been scanned etc. Got through to Dan. Omg one of the nicest people iv ever spoken to. I just asked if it had been scanned on and bless him he was doing going above and beyond. He said he will log it now as letters just get left to the back of the pile and take 10 days to even be approved. He asked few questions and asked if i wanted both care and mobility looking at. Told him yeah he goes lovely what i want to hear 😂. He put me on hold until he finished submitting it. Told him hes been the best person iv ever spoken to there. He said i can call whenever i need to and to ask for him if hes free he will take my call and deal with anything. Really does make a difference to someones day going that bit above and beyond. Also he said if i wanted to send extra evidence i have one month from today's date as MR's that have enough evidence are taking 8 weeks xx

Yeah he did. He was so lovely. And actually wanted to help instead of rushing to get you off call. They all need re training by him i think. I dont even have the urge to re call and left feeling like its been sorted and im happy with that xx

Jumping for joy!!! We've been awarded yesterday until 2029 🎉🎉🎉 from my calculations as she wouldn't tell me the rates looks like my boy has been awarded MCR and LMR! Backpay of £1456 due 21st or 22nd next week!
