DLA wait time thread 42

I would try ringing again as sometimes they’ve said they’ve not received mine and I know that they have think it depends who you get through too

Afternoon Peeps....well I'm 15 weeks tomorrow (scan 30/1) ive had 2 letters & ive just received the text to say they are still looking at DLA1 child & there is no need to contact them 🤬......I just want an answer 😭 my DS is having meltdowns & not staying with anyone, im running out of wages each week with so much time off 😔

Just recieved the 15 week txt still looking at your claim. Was told on Thursday it was with a d.m and rang thos morning and told it still hadn't been looked at yet. Does anyone have any insight on how long after this txt a decision could be made I.e is the txt because the d.m has started to assess it ? Probs straw clutching.

Same scan date as me! I called and asked them to put it on my notes to send me a text, they said not all DMs do it so can’t guarantee I get a text but put in the notes anyways

Scan date 30/1 I've just had a text to say we are still looking at your DLA claim. How long do I expect to wait now?

This is my first time ringing. How bloody awful is the music, why can’t you use something half decent 😂
I only want to tell them extra evidence has been sent twice and to make sure they have it before DM makes a decision. Scan date 9/2,
wasn’t too fussed as told myself to expect decision by end of July but seen a few awards after my scan date which has made me nervous they may not look for the extra info I’ve sent .

Scan date 11/4 just called for an update and she said it's first in the queue for when it gets assigned to a case manager.

Well ten minutes to get through which I was absolutely shocked at.
didnt catch the name of the lady as I was doing my housework with my phone on loud speaker fully expecting an hour wait so I was all in a muddle when she answered.
but she sounded a miserable sod anyway, she confirmed both lots of extra evidence had been added to the file and I said whilst I’m here can I ask for an update and she said no sorry, I can’t say where it’s up to, some are taking bang on 15 weeks some are taking longer so I said when will it go to a DM and she said I can’t tell you that.
I suppose I did just want to confirm my extra evidence had been received but ringing and hearing them has just annoyed me so hopefully that will be it for me now and I wont need to ring again 😂
how you guys ring every day I don’t know. Balls of steel 😂 x

Hey guys a bit of the subject but I’ve told UC I’m now getting dla for my daughter and applied for carers element they said a decision maker will decide if I’m entitled to the carers element and the backdate how long does the UC decision maker take is it long like dwp?

Does anyone know the current wait times of coc? Thanks!

I’ve also just had the 15 week text stating they are still looking at claim after ringing earlier. He told me 20 weeks again! 😫

I have never received any texts either… till today. The standard 15 week one. I only received letters up to now x

Thank you for reply what was your scan date? it's definitely nerve wracking the wait and all unkown what way it will go when so much depends on it. I get anxious making calls as well and then to get through to someone for them be so moody makes it worse so think I will have to just sit it out now and wait for text or letter.

I was told about the same as new claims. 15-17 weeks but that was 2 weeks ago x

Thank you for reply nice to know someone same time scale as well. I know others been waiting longer but seems like so long ago doesn't it! Good luck and hopefully hear somthing soon I will look out for your posts as maybe get a rough idea when others around same time start hearing back. I Have everything crossed for you.

I rang today 15 weeks tomorrow received the same text we’re still looking at the claim, the lady said it could be any day from now! Good luck everyone x

I thought its 12 weeks, my scan date of COC is 3/03 , might as well wait now !

Mine is 16/04 so I’m looking at beginning-middle of August at the earliest I think x

Is mine July then? I really hope they award us properly this time so I can send my son to Sentre in the holidays, it's so expensive

Probably looking end of June- beginning of July….but the wait times can change some times so maybe call at the 15 week mark see if there’s an update x
