@Fee89 🤣😂 your daughter sounds amazing, least she has a voice were as mine hasn't yet, I believed she is trying to fit in so she is liked, breaks my heart, she is enough herself 🥹💜 hope she will do the same, high school scares me, she is only in year 4, she reminds me of her dad, he is currently going though asd assessment, but he also has alot of other issues, I'm scared our daughters inherited these issues, I have learnt how to deal with partners issues but young children's it's different, I realise I am not alone , xx

She thinks she is funny.. 'you'd never catch me being a teen mum, thats just vile on the kid' Eh hello what was i 😂. The 10 year old is worse 🤦🏻‍♀️ she is so blunt we cant take her anywhere. She was asked by her one to one if she liked her teacher, her response 'i feel safe with her, but i just dont like her' 🤦🏻‍♀️ really Freya 😬. Oh there is no learning with kids, its something new and different all the time. Aslong as routine is set you can just about manage. Yeah your not alone, but in your bubble, you feel as though you are 💖

How old is your daughter? I have just plucked up the courage to call for forms for my daughter who is 3 because I thought it was to early as we are still waiting to be seen

She just turned 2 in January. I didn’t know DLA existed until Dec 2023! My son missed out so much money, but everything is a learning curve, but happy my daughter will get her monies! X

KLA1993 · 02/05/2024 23:48

@Fee89 omfg she sounds like my youngest Alora, 😅 she is 6, she is so Brutal, dosnt give a shit basically, everyone she meets she leaves a mark, they all love her. Say they have never met a child like her haha, she is brutally honest, whereas my eldest, lunar is completely different, shy ,reserved. Dosnt like attention atall, she is 9, trys to fit in ☹️ aye nothing wrong with a teen mum, 3 off my sisters had baby's at 17, they are amazing parents, all in there 30's now, I was 21 when I had my first, I'm 31 on bank holiday Monday 😬 feel old haha xxx

I felt so bad, but they don’t advertise these things on the media for people to know there is actual help available xx

Good luck to anyone calling today! Hope we all get the results we are hoping for 💕

Mummyof5kiddos · 03/05/2024 09:02

Good luck everyone calling, I have a good feeling we will see a lot of awards today 😊

Nickij2024 · 03/05/2024 09:35

We’ve been awarded!!!! Omg I am so happy and so relieved.

For info as I know this helped me when reading the thread - scan date 30/01 which makes me 13 weeks but I called yesterday and spoke to someone really lovely who put the claim as priority due to financial hardship.

Called this morning and apparently a decision was made yesterday (no text received though) for HRC and LRM. Award is until May 2027 in line with her 12th birthday.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for your support the last couple of months especially you @Fee89 . I really hope you all get what you children deserve soon ❤️

Matilde08 · 03/05/2024 09:37

@Nickij2024 Congratulations 🎊 👏🏻 💐 🥳

Kee3k · 03/05/2024 10:09

Had a very bad morning today! My 12 year old asd son wouldn’t get out bed for school after been up all night so ment me been up all night when I have a 9 hour shift today. Then my youngest possible asd daughter had a meltdown on the way to school. I am calling back up today to see if a decision has been made yet. Scan date 17/03. I just need some good news to overpower the bad morning

Fee89 · 02/05/2024 22:09

Oh honestly it was a nightmare. We tried blackbag but that was useless. So went to b&m and bought some shower curtains. They go in wash aswell so was handy. But i was becoming exhausted stripping a bed and re making it just to do it again 🤦🏻‍♀️. Id also put a blanket over her then the covers so it wasnt getting the covers xx

We use the plastic backed picnic blankets we layer them up and just take the top one off in the night and can go straight in the wash, makes life so much easier!

Kee3k · 03/05/2024 10:10

All these awards on my date or after congrats. I deffo have a feeling mine is going to be a decline now

Sleeplessi · 03/05/2024 10:11

Congratulations to everyone - Thurs and Fri do seem to be the main days don’t they for this!

We have a scan date of 18/01. I’ve had 2 letters but never a text. Has anyone else ever been texted about an award even if they’ve not had any other updates via text?

each time I’ve had a letter through the post, the date on the letter has been 1-2 weeks previously so interested to know if I’ll be put out of my misery more quickly via text or if I need to call the call centre of doom

Must be one of those days! We've had an awful morning too, not helped by the fact I'm a 22 week pregnant emotional wreck 😂

LancsMcG · 03/05/2024 10:29

Hi all

I’ve just checked in with them now ref my MR and we’ve been awarded MRC (previous award was LRC) so we are happy with that

my son is now just over 3 and a half and suspected ADHD / FASD lots of evidence from nursery and the private consultant we saw - it’s been a battle

good luck everyone

Makes it much easier doesnt it. Luckily she has 'grown' out off it now. But it felt never ending xx
