New to this thread scan date 22/03
I'm shocked by the wait times when I applied for my eldest bk in 2017 it only took 5 weeks 😱

Hi 👋🏻

Same scan date

Scan date buddies 😊 is yours a new claim?

Hi, yes new claim. Not feeling hopeful.

Hufflypuff96 · 02/05/2024 20:35

Hi does anyone know the options on the phone to speak to someone to advise I’ve sent new evidence . I’m worried it’s being looked at without considering the new evidence I’ve posted .

I tried to ring and didn’t know what option to use on the phone and ended up with a very rude woman who said I needed to redial and didn’t know what option I need to pick to discuss

thank you

Same scan date as me, good luck

You too, hopefully they whiz through the rest of Jan and Feb 😆 we are looking at end of june/ beginning July, if we are lucky, dead on 15 weeks.

Yeah dont move over yet as uc have to pay the same you get on old system. Ring them in morning state your child is now getting dla. They will ask from when and if they ask date off letter tell them date you were awarded. Come tuesday if your check your hmrc app it should all be updated and show your back payment aswell. Hope that makes sense. Mine went up £83 a week xx

I haven't been awarded yet but I definitely want to wait till I have been, yeah will phone up as soon as I do, that's brilliant news that you don't have to wait long for the back pay, have you had your migration notice yet? Xx

Mumtotwogirls01 · 02/05/2024 20:39

Hello everybody. Looking for advice from anybody regarding a DLA renewal application. My little girl was awarded DLA in January of this year. I called for the application form on the 11th July last year and that is when her claim is valid from (yes it took that long!) . I received the renewal papers in March and sent them back. I had confirmation today that they were received on the 28th March. My question is do you know if they prioritise processing renewals in order of when the existing claims end? Given how long the original application took I’m concerned it will go past the 11th July and we’ll loose our payments. Thanks all x

Fingers crossed! I saw on Facebook today someone who applied mid march has already been awarded!

Renewals are quick but even if it goes past the date you are still paid until they have completed the renewal xx

Honestly since they properly announced it was ending its made me feel sick knowing we are moving to it, I have never had an issue with tax credits and been on them for 11 years, and to go from weekly pay to monthly scares me, hopefully it's smooth sailing when you get yours x

Jempeech · 02/05/2024 20:47

20/02 rang last week and still nothing

Jempeech · 02/05/2024 20:48

@Fee89 mind I changed to UC last month and I get 400 more a month than I did on tax credits.

Mommy2boys30 · 02/05/2024 20:49

I'm 5/02 and still nothing I'm gonna ring tomorrow and see if any update and check they have scanned my extra evidence on

Jom43 · 02/05/2024 20:49

Scan date 19/01

I may bite the bullet and call tomorrow. Starting to think my DS won't get awarded as he doesn't have a diagnosis yet. I'm sending myself crazy reading stories on here and on Facebook and convincing myself he may not get anything. He has been referred for autism/adhd assessment. We call him our little tornado as he cannot stay still. He's constantly falling and a danger to himself when outside. His little mind works quicker than his mouth and he gets himself In such a state when he can't communicate. Guess I'm just looking for some reassurance from you guys!

Good luck for awards tomorrow everyone x

This is what scares me. 17 years iv either had tax credits or working. Iv been weekly with them and its always been ideal incase something came up. To go to monthly screws up my system xx

@mumofboyngirl can I ask what additional needs your child has . My daughter is 7 asd and adhd . Don’t know if I’ve sent enough . X

I have a high award on tax credits now. 1. Highest element to high pip for daughter and 1. Normal element for youngest now. So im unsure what will happen 😬 xx

What evidence did you send in lovely? I only sent in my daughters health visiting report (from her 2 year review), a gp letter saying he will refer her for SALT and PAEDS, then the actual letters from SALT & PAEDS saying she is on their waiting list. She was awarded HRC X

@Fee89 yes I did with my son who’s 17 now I still get the whole higher rate on UC plus carers element (I work full time as a TA) plus most of my rent paid !!! When I had tax credits only I didn’t even get housing benefits x

I only had reports from the school and his referral to send in.
