I am so sorry you've waited that long just for a decision!
You are entitled to some form of compensation for the wait time! Because I don't believe they have a reasonable answer as to why they've made you wait so long! I would include in your complaint that you seek a compensation remedy as well as what's rightfully owed to your child! ❤️

Thanks... at this point I just want decision even if they decline what would make me even more upset obviously as it wouldn't make any sense.

@Matilde08 Have you spoken to your gp regarding how you are feeling? You have been through alot and anyone in your position would be exactly the same. You are so strong and an amazing lady 💕

Thanks dear.. ✨️ I have had couple of times, but my GP retired shortly after my last husband died, she was amazing and knew my family very well. So she kind a knew what kind of support I need. The GP now puts me straight on medication. I have had a therapies.. still on as it seems a long term recovery.

Hi could someone pls tell me the extension numbers to talk to someone? I pressed 512 and they told me I have to call again using different number? But I don’t know which one? Thank you ☺️

I'm lucky my cousin and few close friends listen to me vent etc x

Nickij2024 · 02/05/2024 10:14

@Fee89 yeah if I don’t get a text then I will ring tomorrow afternoon.
How long did it take from yours being made priority to a decision?
He said they shouldn’t need any more info as I’ve sent her full diagnosis report, 8 pages of her issues that I wrote which I broke down into separate sections (toileting, social, routines etc) and her school Individual Provision Map which details the support they have in place for her toileting, eating and social and emotional issues x

Nickij2024 · 02/05/2024 10:15

Finally got through to a helpful person using the 1523 option. The man was lovely and said it should be 1-2 weeks and added the other information I wanted to tell them.

Just called and been told its with a DM and i should hear by the end of May. I explained the financial hardship and she just sort of went 'oh well' so dont think itll be moved any. This is beginning to drain now 😪

On a positive note, im wishing lots of awards for people today! 💜🎉

@Clf2024 i would definitely call back and speak to someone else. They can definitely make it priority due to financial hardship as they have done that for me today. Some call handlers seem a lot more understanding and helpful than others. It’s just annoying that’s it luck of the draw who gets your call x

Been a silent watcher for a long time now! Scan date 25/1. My son is 3 in July diagnosed ASD, hoping for HRC, did apply for mobility under SMI but not holding my breath. Just spoke to a man named Jordan was very polite, said it’s in holding pile but looks close to being picked up very soon. Says decision should be made by 3rd week of May but I’m going to call back next week when I’m 15 weeks to see if it’s with DM.

Nickij2024 · 02/05/2024 10:26

@Fee89 thanks so much for your help and support. Have you decided whether you are going to do a MR for HRC? X

ForgedInFire · 02/05/2024 10:36

Just called and my application is with a decision maker- scan date 17/1- feeling very nervous now

Nams2828 · 02/05/2024 10:38

Waited 20 weeks on dd claim for it to be declined iv requested MR sent it over 6 weeks ago haven't received anything to say they have received it yet. How long have others thats sent a MR in took for a decision.

Matilde08 · 02/05/2024 10:40

So after 15 min hold I went through with very lovely young lady. She did all the check ups and it's still with the case manager as they need to do those additional check ups. I then started to open up how much it affects me mentally because of all this waiting and not knowing. I said I do understand it's unusual case, but nearly half of the year and still being told another six weeks. She apologised and said he will put special note it's emergency and text message will be send straight away when decision is made. She mentioned that information have been sent out to Blackpool as much as I could understand it's about check ups due to Survivor's pension. When they responds, decision will be made straight away. I asked do I have to call back next week or when if no response. She said 2 weeks, but said hopefully decision will be made before as it has been marked like a priority.

QUESTION...as at this point I need to be ready for next step in case they decline his claim, what's the next step for me to do if I do not agree?

Fee89 · 02/05/2024 10:40

Nickij2024 · 02/05/2024 10:26

@Fee89 thanks so much for your help and support. Have you decided whether you are going to do a MR for HRC? X

We spoke about it but hubby said give it 6 months then do a coc. I try doing everything at once and dont give myself a break. At times i forget i have a tumor 😬. I just like to know everything is in order and if its not done by me then its not done right 😂 x

Fee89 · 02/05/2024 10:44

@Nams2828 i think MR is taking 8-12 weeks from what iv read.

@Matilde08 So glad you had a positive call. Depending on reasons why they refuse i think your next step would be speaking to citizens advice. I wouldnt stress yourself out over thinking 'what if' until you know for sure what the outcome is xx
