Oh wow I’m so sorry to hear that, that must have been really difficult for you to deal with. This time you know what you’re doing, you’ve done it before whilst you were learning, you’ve got this💗 but yeah 100% you don’t laugh you’ll cry! Exactly that, no one knows you or your child, and no one knows your child better than you do! But yes, it was actually like that too lol, I was getting my phone fixed after not having one for a month due to my son eating it🤣 I was also looking forward to a maccies lol, and she had to ruin it, it really is the little things!

It does become 'easier' trust me. Hes just learning the world around him atm. Every battle is lesson you both learn from. And routine is key. Omg i cant stress enough how routine helps soooo much. She is 17 and still goes to bed at 9.30 😂. See that 1 good day makes up for all the other bad days and as you say it is the simple things best we learn that even having a quiet wee is a luxury. This is why i encourage everyone on here amd say if you need to rant n moan do it. Because 1. We all understand and 2. We bloody need a good rant at times. It clears our mind xx

Thank you so much, yeah I’m learning along with him, my first baby and all new to this, I worked in a home for adults with additional needs and that has actually helped so much with things I know etc, but doing it all yourself is so different, all the appointments and the waiting. Yes routine is a must isn’t it! Yeah, the good days do make up for the bad🥹 yes 100%, we all understand each other, all in the same boat, grateful for everyone on here xx

Also ASD and melt downs are spoken about more, when my eldest ds (24 now) was 1st diagnosed he melted down in shopping centre... was told to smack the naughty child to get him to behave... I looked at the man in question and said I should smack you for being ignorant....

I'm not calling, lady said will be 20 weeks and now with dm yet, so 15 weeks today so making plans to keep busier as she made me feel deflated yesterday.

@Persianpoppy Nothing better than a swift throat punch. You can be that quick that they dont see it coming. Plus less painful for you unlike a glasgow kiss 😂😂😂

first time commenting I’ve been a silent watcher for a few weeks. My scan date is the 18th Jan. I’ve now had to quit to my job as my partner can’t cope on his own with the 3 children. Middle one has adhd and asd. I’m currently on hold to dla to find out how much longer to wait and if things can be hurried along.
we had one of many appointments yesterday and were finally given an official diagnoses after a 5 year battle!!

Good luck! I’ve just had to quit my job too and am on hold to them with a scan date of 22nd Jan.

I waited an hour to get through to be told they’re having technical difficulties and put the phone down on me 😭😭 first and only time im calling

How annoying. That’s definitely put me off calling today. They’re flippin’ useless. Hope you get the answers soon. We have similar dates and the last time I spoke to them they said a decision should be made by next Friday. So hopefully same for you too xx

My partner also had to quit his job as it was all getting to much for me with my sons melt downs. I suffer with EUPD due to childhood trauma. So I have constant panic attacks and mental breakdowns. I don’t like taking antidepressants because they did more damage to me then good.
my scan date is 17/01 I called Monday and was gunna call today but mite just wait till Friday. Will they still be open Friday?

Me also, I can’t teach and have so much time off with two disabled children xx

Gosh isn’t it crazy how many of us have to give up work to support our little ones. And there’s absolutely no support there until you get to the end of this 15-20 week wait, it’s draining 😭

It’s hard isn’t it. I bet the wait isn’t helping at all either. They’ll be open Friday. I’m trying to hold out until Friday too! Trying to keep myself busy so I don’t call - as after calling I just feel worse if it’s no further forward.. good luck with it all xx

When you hate the school attendance officer (daughter was friends with my daughter) and have to remind them their job is checking absent messages 😡😬 not to be fucked with today!!

It’s unbelievably stressful isn’t it. I’m still on hold 1 hour and 40 minutes later!

My ASD son was of for a full week I called everyday to let them no he was physically and mentally drained I decided best place for him was to be at home. They turned up at my door to do a welfare check! Seriously! But you calnt help my child in school but soon quick to be at my door
