I'm going to have a moan now 😭😥my son is ASD 7 non verbal, I'm so mentally frustrated, we've been stuck in the house pretty much the entire holidays, as it's not safe for us to go anywhere, I've no car at the moment as I left my partner in January and he obviously took it, I can't afford one right now, anyway, we attempted a walk on the field, the entrance is literally across the road and pretty safe because he can run ahead a little but there's nowhere to run in the road if you will, anyway I managed to walk all the way through the field with all 3 boys, others are 12, and 18months, all was fine, untill we turned to go back home, he literally ran and ran all the way home nowhere to been seen I couldn't catch up with him, he wouldn't stop when I was shouting honestly I had a heart attack 😭 imagine if we was out and about on normal streets? He does this if we walk from school he runs the whole way home 😥 honestly I feel bloody trapped!!! No idea what I'm going to do if he doesn't get the mobility on the COC 😭

Oh, no… that’s so scary. My son bolted once while we were in a playground, his sister was a baby in the pram. I ran after him with her in my arms, screaming while he got to the carpark, heading for the main road. I saw this unknown lady and asked her to take the baby (complete stranger in a car park!) and ran. Thank goodness an old lady was at his level and sort of rugby tackled him before he got to the road.
He was probably 6 then… when I got home I totally broke down, I have never sobbed like that since. It was horrific.
I hope they award you the level of support you need, we are on the same fight.

I shouldnt laugh but picturing an old lady rugby tackle a child 😂. We had something different. We were at a busy park in our area, i was heavily pregnant, my husband and at the time eldest was 5. It was time for us to leave so husband went to go get her.......she didnt want to leave. So he took her hand and started walking with her. Next thing all i hear from the other end is her shouting 'please no, some body help me' acting like she being kidnapped 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Thank you ladies, sometimes it's nice to speak to people who don't personally know you and don't judge.
I have people in my life who thinks he's just a naughty child at home 😔 and I'm fed up with telling them he has his own issues going on.
Let's all pray for positive outcomes this week. I'll be calling at some point tomorrow and then Wednesday and then Friday 🤣🤣
Can't ring on a Tuesday and Thursday as I have people at work with me 🤣

Tasha0429 · 14/04/2024 16:23

@Fee89 that was my plan!! To have her with me 😂 they think cause my house is clean and I am capable of looking after my own children then I don't need support 😂 but that is not the case, it shouldn't be like this! I struggling massively, because there isn't any support for people like me, it's a joke. I can't remember what else you said now 😂 and it's on the other page hahahaha xxx

@Chickapea77 been in many similar situations, it's awful it really is! Thank goodness for that old lady 😂🙈 honestly I dont dare go anywhere these days, because I find it impossible so do I, and you to love 🤞🤞🤞💕

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 16:25

I've woken up today feeling really urghh, I think the more I'm waiting to hear the more it's doing my head in. It's been a constant battle with my son to get any support, which we still don't get.
We had a cahms assessment last week, had a letter from them yesterday saying that he needs appropriate and immediate support but not through them. They've told me to self refer him to somewhere else.
Why is it such a battle and the more let down we are by the system the more I just know we'll be declined DLA.
Just feel so rubbish today 😭

Bless you! I know exactly how you feel. I also have that nagging feeling that it's gonna be declined. I don't think I have put enough info on the form and I worry that whatever I have put on the form won't make any sense to whoever is going to read it. I have also send some evidence from school, gp and eating disorder clinic but I'm worried it still won't be enough.I really hope we get lots of awards tomorrow and in the coming week. Xx

@Fee89 😂 just read this 🙈 I feel you, when Rocco is bolting off people think he's running away from me 😂😂😂😂 I get the looks from all angles 🤣 xx

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 17:02

@Anxiouslywaitingmum They always say blood is thicker than water. What aload of bull if you ask me!! My own mother has said some truly shocking things.

@Tasha0429 we can sit and laugh now looking back but anyone not in our situations wont understand. People will see our life as manic but to us all here its our normal. I will feel lost when everyone finds out their outcomes. Everyone has been so supportive and all understand 💕

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 17:06

Tasha0429 · 14/04/2024 17:10

@Fee89 so true, nobody understands unless they are in the same situation, I know right? We will have to post about something else 😂😂 SEN MUMS 💕 it's really good to hear others in the same situation and your not the only ones struggling 🥰 THEMMMM LEMONS 😂😂😂 I want a refund xxxx

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 17:15

@Tasha0429 Your new lemons are coming. Just need a few finishing touches 💖 xx

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 17:18

@Kaz87 It's going to be a good week. Just stay focused and know your evidence will speak for itself 🥰 xx

Tasha0429 · 14/04/2024 17:23

I hope so 😂🤞💗 One day eh xxxxx

Fee89 · 14/04/2024 17:38

Today is almost over. Soon be dinner, bath & bed yipeeeee. I swear April is going slow. We have already had 6 birthdays in the family 🤦🏻‍♀️ 2 more still to come 😬. Who else is looking forward to abit of quiet time tomorrow with kids at school 😂 xx

Chickapea77 · 14/04/2024 17:44

@Fee89 oh, he has been known to scream ‘help me, help me’ when his dad picked him up, needless to say he is not that keen on taking him out on his own 🤭
The old lady saved the day, she was definitely a mother because she just pounced. Never been so grateful to anyone in my life, unfortunately I was too shaken to thank her properly. Makes up for the judgemental a**holes we encounter at times.

Chickapea77 · 14/04/2024 17:47

@Tasha0429 yes, CoC just like yours. Should have done it many years ago but never really knew we could until his new school told us he should have mobility too 😭
