DLA Wait Time Chat

Just got off the phone with DLA,
Scan date was 09/01
It is now with the decision maker but no decision has been made as of yet but it is getting looked at.
Told that my max date for a decision is 28/05 but should be soon

It does become very frustrating! And I’m constantly over analysing everything. Did I write enough? Did I send enough? Have I done the form correct? Hopefully we all get positive outcomes and soon 🤞 xx

Yay that's great news hopefully the award letter won't be too long mine came Monday which I thought was quick considering they say 2 weeks xx

Facebook - 3rd January scan date awarded they recieved payment today. 5th January declined last week 😔

Same with me! My little one suffers with epilepsy, although he was diagnosed at 5 months old, he was never medicated until end of last year hence why I put in the application because I didn't want to have less information. Also undergoing tests and assessments for ADHD and Autism which I have added with his upcoming appointments.
I have a good feeling for the end of April for January scan dates! 🤞🏼

04/01 is mine! So I'm hoping 🤞🏼🤞🏼 soon!

Mine is for my boy who has suspected adhd and autism. He was permanently excluded from school last October and attended an AP. They too suspect the same. I sent camhs referral letters, ehcp, letter form teacher and a few reports from school saying his struggles etc. he has major semh needs which is reflected in most of my evidence. Everything just feels like a battle doesn’t it. My son is currently not attending any education setting, we’re awaiting at home tutoring to start.

so nice to see all the awards coming in today, really praying for the rest of us and hope we all get what we need for our babies xx

rang Friday wasn’t with a Dm
woke up this morning to a pending payment for tomorrow . They have awarded middle care and low mobility for 2 year . I hardly had any evidence only proof that’s she’s awaiting cyps assessment for asd I also didn’t write much on the forms I was convinced she would be a decline as she masks well at school . I hope this helps . Good luck to everyone still waiting

We've just noticed that there are a lot of these threads in our Childcare section, which is really for threads about nannies, childminders, nurseries etc.

We can see lots of people are finding the threads useful, so we're going to move this over to our SN Children section where threads about these issues tend to sit, and hopefully they can be of help to even more people there.

No just what they told me 2 days ago. Gotta wait 12 weeks for child benefit and DLA said NI should be any day now which I don’t believe at all🙁 xx

@Persianpoppy Dont allow them to let you feel like that. There are some lovely call handlers that are more than willing to help. If you feel a call handler is rude to you as for a manager xx

@TiredTilly What an utter joke 🤦🏻‍♀️ start looking into how to make a formal complaint. You know things can be done but they just seem so unwilling with you 😡😤. Let us know how the call goes later xx
