DLA Wait Time Chat

Anyone ringing today?? I’m 8/1 and I’m past waiting now i sent the forms 8/12 scan day 8/1 it feels like I have waited forever for this. I’m ringing this morning

It is heartbreaking! Yes you’re right, it is frustrating. We’ve got a new paediatrician that isn’t listening 🙈 which is pissing me off to the max too 😡
She’s 3 and a half. She has cerebral palsy, we’re maxed out on doses of calpol and neurofen most days now and she’s screaming in agony and I can’t do anything with her when the pains like that. It’s got to a stage now where she’s stopped wanting to try and join in playing with other kids because she knows she will fall and hurt and then suffer with more pain later in the day after being busy and playing 😞 but paediatrician gave her melatonin a few weeks ago saying that should help. It’s done bloody nothing.
sorry, you only asked how old she was and I got carried away 😂
i dont know a huge amount about diabetes, but my grandmother was type 1 for as long as I can remember and I know how difficult that was to manage. Let alone for a little one and the struggles of trying to get the balance right. Bless you. Just know you’re amazing 💕 How is she this morning? xx

Yes please ring!!! I'm gonna wait til Friday but I know by midday I'll talk myself out of waiting and call and then get the ump cos they'll tell me the same as yesterday 🤣🤣

now I'm hoping, no news is GOOD news! 😭 I received a text the other day saying they are still looking into the claim.
I was told all January scan dates will have decisions end of April to the beginning of May, not sure how true that is as I feel like they just say different things to everybody! Good luck to you too! ❤️

I was told the same when i rang a few weeks ago to update my contact details that it was down to a 15 week wait and would hear around the end of April. Going to give them a call today to see how the claims progressing.

Let it out. We all have. Broke my heart reading shes giving up trying to play 😔 shes still only a baby, having to deal with so much. Oh i just want to hug you both 💕. You can get deep heat bubble bath do you think that would be any good for her in the evenings? Im sat trying to think of ideas but know for a fact you would of tried everything 🤦🏻‍♀️. Im keeping everything crossed for you that today is positive 💖 xxx

Woke up to a pending payment for £1950 coming in tommorrow! So happy, as was expecting a decline! My scan date was 27/12 not sure what her rates are, if anyone has a clue let me know 🤣 but I'm so excited, going to start adapting her room with all the exciting sensory bits she needs 😁😁😁

I wanted to say thankyou to those aswell who replied to my message the other day about me worrying about the amount of evidence on the forms.
I would of replied individually but locked myself out of my account and now I can’t find the tags🤣

I'm sorry to hear that. My scan date is the same, if you don't mind me asking-do you know what condition/ disability was your friend applying for ? Sorry it made me really nervous 😓

She was applying for autism (suspected) she didn't have any evidence other than what she was saying and she didn't put a huge amount into the form so that is probably why it was rejected

They awarded MRC. I completely forgot to ask how long for.

This is going to be such a massive help for our little one.

i really don’t want to sound ungrateful but i may consider doing an MR once I get the letter as I think she deserves something for mobility. But I’ll check the reasons they give in the letter before I decide.
