DLA Wait Time Chat

I was told over the phone this morning and the rates, payment amount and when it aaa decided. I don't understand why some of them don't tell you

Well I got through after 34mins, half way through security she couldn't hear me, I then went to call again but she called me back.
So apparently it's now in a holding queue and it's not with a decision maker 🙄 she said it should be with a DM by end of this week and have a answer by end of next week.
I'll be calling again Wednesday and no doubt I'll be told something else 🤣

@Emmajm85 @kristie198 got through to child benefit after 1.15hrs on hold 😩 he told me I’ll have to wait 12 weeks. I insisted on doing the application over the phone he refused, I kept going on but he didn’t back down. He said there is nothing for you on the system but from what you’ve told me you’re going to have to wait 12 weeks. So upset! I said I know others have done it over the phone and things moved quicker for them. He said no!, whoever did the application over the phone will still have to wait 12 weeks for there child application to be approved.
Going to call DLA now and give them what for! 22 weeks today!
feel exhausted and defeated.

I got told exactly the same by 2 people. But I called again and spoke to another lady who agreed it wasn’t showing on the system from the online application. Did he give you a reason why it wasn’t showing as ‘in progress’ for your online application? Xx

I asked him, he said it won’t show until 12 weeks! I think he lied to me honestly he sounded so fed up also like he was home I heard the tv on and a dog bark. Lazy sod.
I’ll call again tomorrow, hopefully it’s the lady you got 😩 xx

I received a letter today saying that they got my application on the 08/03, stating could take up to 15 weeks. Then another letter asking for my daughters birth certificate, does anyone know if this means it's with a decision maker already?

Honestly, it pisses me off!!
why the hell would it take 12 weeks to just show on the system. Sounds like he was hopeless.

yes call tomorrow. Tell them you were told the first application would be treated as lost and to make another application online. Say you’ve done that but it’s not even showing as in progress in your account. Also tell them you need it in place for DLA application because you’ve been waiting 22 weeks. Let’s hope tomorrow’s person is more helpful. Bless you xxx

Just rang backup decision made this afternoon my girl has got HRC wishing everyone just as much luck xx

It goes in one hand out the other but worth it in the long run with pension credits x

Still waiting....27/12. Getting more nervous the more time goes on. Got a text last week saying still waiting, can't bring myself to ring again (and have no time with work and the children)

My scan date 29/12 phoned today said it was open but no decision made yet to phone first week in may if not heard anything good luck x

Scan date is 29th December
So far had 2 letters (can't remember the date)
Then a text message on 8th april saying we are still looking at your claim.
I sent additional evidence on Saturday 6th April and it was delivered Tuesday 9th April.
Tried to call today a few times to see if they've added the evidence to our claim but it just cuts you off within seconds 🫠 hope it's not too much longer 😭

Just called to check on extra evidence. It was a very nice man who told me everything I had sent has been put onto the system and even read out what it all was 😂
He told me that it hasn't been assigned to a DM just yet but to wait for a text and a letter from the end of this month to the beginning of May.
New claims are taking between 16-20 weeks.
My scan date is 11/01, but told me they received forms on the 5/01 .
