DLA Wait Time Chat

Really hope it’s a useful person tomorrow 🤞
So I rang DLA the long way and got through in 35mins! That’s a record lol I was expecting 1.5hrs plus lol
they of course said the same thing, the damn NI number. She said should be anytime soon because they applied for it 3 weeks ago and it usually takes 3 weeks for them to generate the number….which is different from 2 other people who said it could take up to 3/4months for the NI number. Also to call back in 2 weeks if you haven’t heard anything, which is what they always say😂 I’m probably going to have to do an MR or COC because my sons needs have changed drastically for the worse since October🙁

i rang this morning no decision but I didn’t receive a text like people ahead of me so I rang (27/12) and have been awarded HRC & LRM until December 2026

no diagnosis but suspected autism, referral letter from the school senco sent as evidence which had written info on from senco and teacher

I have logged the change on my UC account under child details and added a journal entry to request it to be backdated. Does anyone know if I have done it right?

I will hun, and probably every day until a decision is made.lol. I have my work coach pushing me, basically threatening sanction if I don't agree to the the 35 hours. I shouldn't have been honest, I should have just made it up for a few months to keep ticking boxes, but you live and learn! Back on the 9am train tomorrow eh!!

@Tasha0429 Oh the smell gets to me aswell. But if its his routine then you dont mind do you. Fingers crossed it works. Freya came home had snack and gone to bed. Today has wiped her out. Downside is she will be up all night no doubt 😫 xx
