We were awarded today after 18wk wait, I was expecting it to be another couple of weeks. Had no details yet just money in bank, following a text on 25/3 saying they were working on it. Good luck everyone.

Good luck everyone for tomorrow. This bank holiday has really thrown me, forgot tomorrow is Friday. Only 3 weeks 5 days left off April 😂

I actually cried with relief and validation that our child is recognised as needing this extra support it’s a funny feeling but also sad it’s been a rough few years and we were told to apply a couple of years ago but I kept putting it off until we had no choice. I hope you all hear soon.

It's one thing taken off your shoulders. When one thing goes right we feel asthough we have won a small battle. Them forms alone are horrible, never mind the unknown wait x

im assuming it was my comment you are referring to. I wasn’t implying that you were lying. I was implying that the call handlers were lying which we all know they do. We all meet on the thread at 9am on the dot to see what garbage they say for a new day, each day it’s something different, each day another excuse or another tale. Your attitude towards others is ludicrous. Have a little empathy, we’re all getting fed up and anxious but it doesn’t mean we aren’t over the moon each time someone is awarded

let me know if you ring, I’ve a hospital app tomorrow morning so depending on how long we’re there and what tests they decide to do I may not have time to call it’s getting to be something I just have to do I can’t stop myself 😂 they did say today it should be done by the end of this week though at most end of next so I’m trying to hold off calling

😬Good luck. I remember that battle with my eldest. She has adhd,asd,anxiety and tourettes, vocal tic atm is 'April fools', was fun last night while out for a meal 😂. We ended up moving her schools and the senco was sooooo much better at getting things done. We always find strength somehow so kick their a&& 💪xx

My son who was awarded HRC def did put more night time needs as that is his biggest issue

well I filled it all in online, then at the end it asked me to print it off and post it to them 🙄😄 so I sent it on 16th March. And still no sign of it in the building apparently 😅. But I was so silly and just sent it via normal post, I should have done it recorded delivery 🤦‍♀️ Have you applied? xx

I realise you have detailed all of her symptoms and issues, etc, but did you focus on the extra care you then need to give her because of those? Sometimes it can be the way it's worded as they seem to have set criteria they have to follow. So rather than talking about her sickness, for example, literally spelling out what you need to do for her as a result. I know it should be obvious, but I think the clearer you make it for them, the easier it will be to assess.

I’ve been waiting 14 weeks today from my scan date what is the average wait time? Had 2 letters so far - 1 acknowledgment and the other the first week of February to say not to ring it may take up to another 15 weeks 🙄 just wondered the average time? Thanks

Same here 😅 I filled it in online and printed it, sent it off 20th march. Sent it normal post aswell, didn’t even think to send it recorded lol. I’ll call them tomorrow aswell as DLA😮‍💨

Yes hun my DD consultant and I sat and put all of her care needs through the day and night, I think we have just been unlucky with the DM that ours was handed to unfortunately, but I’ll be putting another complaint in tomorrow, hopefully I can word everything correctly to them on the phone in hopes that it works and things get moving so I can come on here and update you all , and hopefully after that everyone can get things done too ❤️
