Hope we have loads of awards today. I want to phone but I know nothing much will have changed from yesterday. I have my kiddos shine event this morning so that'll take my mind off the wait. But I soooo want to phone 📞

I wonder if they text if it’s a decline too.

Has anyone experienced where they don’t backpay from the day you phoned for the forms? If so, is it worth asking them to?

I saw someone say "we have made a decision on your claim" or something like that and they had been declined

Ah ok. Getting so nervous now. I got a text earlier (which I never get) and jumped out of my skin. It was bloody Royal Mail 😆

Until I get my letter I'm not sure when I've been paid from but illl update here once I do

i applied in 2022 and the wait for around 13 ish weeks then. Just to clarify if it helps I was awarded and I never got a text to tell me so. I’m not even sure if I got more than one letter. I only found out as I called at around 13/14 weeks and the money then went in bank about 2 weeks after that I actually got the letter!! I do think it’s a bit of a random thing as I’ve seen people on other discussions waiting still from October scan dates and some right at the end of November being awarded!
I will be 14 weeks next Wednesday . I’m going to leave it and ring at 15 weeks for a check up. I’m not as confident this time around as my DS does not have an actual diagnosis / little evident other than school letter , referral and my word for it!! I’ve written a lot on the form though so fingers crossed. My renewal for other DS needs to be done this year so dreading it!!

I don’t know if it makes a difference but we have had a claim for my oldest for 5 years so they have tons of evidence from social workers etc about our family (my oldest is unfortunately violent). But even for his first claim we had to do MR. xx

I've just rang, got through after 30 minutes, my daughter has been awarded MRC and LRM until Sept 2025, I had to call I couldn't wait for the letter to come after receiving the text yesterday saying she qualified, dreading filling out those forms again but so happy she was finally awarded.

Do you’s think there is only a version day of the week that the claims get sent to the DM? I want to ring just to see if we are with a DM yet but I did ring on Monday x

Good morning, I’ve been watching these post for a few weeks. 3rd Nov DLA received forms, had a text on Monday to call and I had missed some questions so I answered them. Called back this morning and my child has been awarded MRC & LRM. I have no diagnoses yet waiting for assessments. I sent in speech & language reports. Hope it gives you all some hope and good luck to you all 🤞🏼

Congratulations! Could I ask your child’s age please? I have sent in evidence but it’s mainly nursery reports and a statement from SENDco. I did send a speech and language report but all it really had in it was a report of conversations between them and nursery and then between them and us and then a statement on their observation and then a little paragraph about referring for autism but now we’re just on a waiting list. I’m just worried it’s not going to be enough
