Anyone know how long it takes for universal credit to add the disability payments had a message back saying once they have verified child they will said the back pay to decision maker x

It's not paper, they are scanned onto the system before the DM receives the applications.

I'm so happy for everyone getting awards it looks like things are all mov9ng forward for you guys.

I am on my first renewal with needs now being more this time sent in loads of additional evidence from peads etc so fingers crossed. Is anyone else going through renewals yet? TIA

@Lisarmummy I had a call at 4.30 from dm who said it had been sent to their docs and denied said ok tribunal here we come and hung up to get a call back saying ok what if I do low rate mobility and low rate care until you send more evidence might just go straight to appeal

Love her. Do you know what really makes me mad is that those with physical needs get turned down more than those who are neurodivergent. It doesn’t make sense. Both need support. I hope you get what you deserve x

@bonz2023 first time dealing with dla if it wasn’t for nursery I wouldn’t of done it they have been great, the whole thing confuses me so much ur letter will probably arrive tomorrow xx

@bonz2023 if you rang for the forms and returned in the time frame you should be back dated from when u rang xx

Yes I think I have been but the back pay is 19 weeks, I rang for forms 19th October so 19 weeks from then is 29th Feb, I get back pay tommorow

So is my next payment 4 weeks from 29th of Feb or 4 weeks from tommorow 🤷‍♀️

@bonz2023 the letter just says you will be paid every 4 weeks but I have no clue when it’s confused me so much x

@Gemmaoscar i think they dnt pay for half week’s, so they have awarded u from the following Wednesday of your scan date which is 8th. I’ve read this on previous threads. But makes sense now your saying it as your date falls on a Friday. Mine is also a Friday so I guess I will lose a week if I get awarded!
