@Gemmaoscar I've done both (phone and write)

after we go to nursery next week for a discussion with the person doing pre-assessment for EHCP i'll be writing again and summarising everything since original application and outlining the new evidence and a summary of his issues - not just an additional 1 hour toiletry needs - which seemed ridiculous - we were quite detailed in our original form.

From reading between the lines with other people on here I am convinced it's been incorrectly assessed and will go to tribunual if need be.

I firmly believe it should be middle rate - not low rate

@bonz2023 he got middle rate there resin states he needs help with bodily functions at short intervals right through the day, says we used ur medical report you sent to gain this information I never sent a medical report, he needs constant supervision doesn’t sleep try’s to get under his mattress has no understanding at all is non verbal the list goes on but they haven’t looked at any of that x

I don't think they accept new evidence on an MR do they? Just from reading other comments

@LancsMcG you definitely need a MR.
My lg is 2 nearly 3, doesn't attend nursery or anything I only had referral letters and ophthalmology reports and awarded MRC. You deserve HRC from sounds of it. Fight for it xx

So after 1 hour on the phone I called for an update on dla claim for DS and lovely lady on the phone checked the notes and said we were awarded yesterday MRC/LRM until 2027. This wait has been terrible I am so glad that it is over.

Scan date 23/11, I caved today and phoned just to see if they have an update, spoke to a lovely man he even told me to have a good day 😂 currently in a holding queue to be picked up by a dm any day now, got told to phone back next week

As I see the dates getting closer to my scan date it’s making me obsessive 😂😂 I’ve been through all this with my oldest and had to do an MR. Sent so much for evidence for my youngest though so really hoping we get awarded - just don’t mentally have it in me to fight again 😭 Wish we could just put it to the back of our brain instead of constantly fighting xx

I feel this way (first time applying) the wait is just awful and takes alot I can't just ignore it I myself have adhd so to be patient is just not happening I've done so well waiting but its 15 weeks now and affecting me a little don't know why

It does seem that people a week before my scan date are being awarded this week so 🤞🏻 for me for next week

I was never told it was with a DM or a CM I called last week and was told is was in a holding pile and would probably be late March early April - just called today as others with 9/11 scan date had been awarded.

Scan date 29/11.

I’ve just had a text to say that my child qualifies for DLA. - I’m not sure what rate etc.

It really does seem like there is no process at all to the order of the claims.

Just wanted to let you know for anyone around my date (not that it seems to make a difference) x

im seeing loads on the fb page today that have been awarded who have later scan dates. Im wondering if I should call again today but I called yesterday morning and it wasn’t with a decision maker then so feel like id be wasting my time 😂 but equally I need to know. Why am I like this?! 😂

My child’s claim was only sent to a decision maker yesterday so it’s worth a try?
Im trying to call now to ask about rates, payment dates etc.
I think some of decision makers drink 20 cups of coffee per day and other sleep on the job.
I’m happy the decision has been made for us but it just feels a bit unfair to those who’ve waited for much longer than us.

Why when you ring dla does it now say a letter of how much benefit you will recieve will be recorded by the end of April ??? Is this just the standard now because of April increases ?
