I had the text to say my boy was awarded on 26th Jan, backpay came on the 31st.
Looks like MRC.
Still no letter so I will phone them this week as I have no idea on length of award/payment dates.

Does anyone know when your regular payments start after being awarded?

I received a text on Friday confirming that my daughter is entitled to DLA, how long does it normally take to receive the first payment and letters?

Anyone had the experience of more evidence from school then got a decline? My scan date is 24/09😭

scan date 20/10 was with DM on Friiday

The wait is finally over, have a pending payment going in to my account, which works out to 22 weeks at MRC. First time claim and my son is only 4 so was not expecting mobility. We got the award I think he deserves 😊

@LouiseP86 I was awared 3 weeks ago and still no letter hoping in comes through today

Scan date 18/10, woke up with pending payment this morning. Looks like MRC which I’m very happy about as baby only 20 months old. Not sure on length yet will just wait for letter.

Really hoping for a positive outcome this week!how often are people being told they’re awarded over texts? Scan date 20/10, haven’t rang up so not even sure if it’s with a dm yet

Was told that some DM's send texts / some don't - as the feature isn't available to all DM's....

@LancsMcG i really hope so! Seeing dates after ours is making me panic more about it being a decline! Hopefully we hear something by Friday which is our 18 week mark🤞🏼🤞🏼

My son has been in receipt of DLA for about 11 years, I’ve never received a text from them! So don’t worry if you don’t get one, it doesn’t mean it’s a decline x

I sent my evidence off on Thursday 1st class signed for but whenever I try to track it royal mail website just states an update will only be provided when delivery is attempted? Will this get there by tomorrow as that's the due date. Panicking that I didn't choose the correct postage, the letter didn't need a stamp but I thought this way I could guarantee it on time. Only had a week to gather evidence and send 😩
