@lillyT83 mines been with DM for over a week. Was told Thursday morning I should have a decision any day. Hopefully it’s not too much longer for either of us!🤞

Good luck I hope you get your answers asap I know the waiting is a long one for coc, they told me 28 weeks for a decision. Hope the end is in sight sooner rather than later x

@Sallyt7110 i wonder why they wasted time sending out a letter instead of calling. Mind you, not much makes sense with this whole process.

I doubt they’d waste time sending out a letter and waiting for it to come back just to decline it. They wouldn’t care if it was late or not.

They might tell you if you call next week.

true. Fingers crossed. Maybe they wanted to do a letter as it’ll take two weeks to make it back them and then that gives them an excuse to go past the 20week mark…I’ll be 18 weeks Monday 🙄

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 17/02/2024 17:26

@Sallyt7110 😂true, they do seem to like to drag things out as long as people!

I’m just over 18wks and even though it’s with a DM, I really don’t feel like I’ll hear any time soon!

@lillyT83 I’m 17 weeks 2 days so far, so don’t think it will be 28 weeks, well better bloody not be!🤦‍♀️
Someone on here with a scan date 18/10 was awarded this week, so I hope yours won’t be 28 weeks!

Thank you for letting me know how many weeks you have been waiting so far, that's helpful to know. I will have my fingers crossed for you. The coc is for my daughter but I also done a first claim for her twin brother which was scanned on the 9th November so I'm expecting that will prob be first. Deffo double the trouble 😂 x

mummyof3girlsx · 17/02/2024 19:02

Edited

I rung up the other day to make sure the extra evidence I sent in a few weeks ago was on the system and they said it was, I would definitely ring them up and change details because you might get money in bank and not text if your awarded etc. The person I got through was really nice and helpful. I didnt bother asking if was with a DM as seems pointless at the min as form was scanned on the 9th November. Ring first thing Monday morning if your able to. Fingers crossed you get news asap x

mummyof3girlsx · 17/02/2024 19:16

@lillyT83 oh amazing! Thanks hun I’ll call first thing Monday xx

Most people get through quickly first thing, Ive never rung that early as normally on school run but definitely seems to be the best time. I called just gone 2 when I rung the other day and was on hold an hour, I only didn't put the phone down as I live next door to my children's school. Good luck hope the wait is over soon. I know it causes a lot of stress, when my twin 1 was awarded DLA 2 years ago it literally took 8 weeks and that was bad enough. This is horrible at the minute. X

mummyof3girlsx · 17/02/2024 19:50

@lillyT83 yeah I’m usually back home by 9 as I’m on the next road too, I’ll give it a go and see how I get on! Will update once ive spoken to them.. I know it’s awful isn’t it, it’s my first claim and I’m really nervous I didn’t send a lot in tbh I just filled out form as best as I could, added letter from teacher (which was directed at the gp for a referral listing all needs/ actions at school etc) and her sen support plan from Ed pysch at school (suspected adhd) she’s now been accepted for an assessment which I called and they added that note on a few weeks back. Let’s see what happens ey x

Good luck, I will have my fingers crossed. I don't have much for twin 1 he has got a summary from his teacher which went with his referral for ASD (waiting since last march for an app) he also has a brain injury when born, his twin is severely asd and learning disabilities and I have loads for her but going through tribunal for a Sen school as still non verbal and no understanding etc so it's been a battle all around. I think that's the trouble with waiting like this; everything is a battle for us parents and the poor children. It constantly feels like got to fight and it's exhausting. I wish you all the best. We have half term next week so I might get a sneaky 9am call in 😂 x

mummyof3girlsx · 17/02/2024 20:37

@lillyT83 I know it really is tough. Constant battles, feeling like you’re just fighting 24/7 and now this ontop is just so stressful! I’m really hoping it isn’t too much longer for us. I’ve seen mid- end of oct being awarded so I’m hoping over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully I’ll get a cheeky update on Monday when I call 😆 xx

Emma2345 · 17/02/2024 22:36

Does anyone know how long it’s taking for evidence to be scanned onto the claim?

I called yesterday , scan date 24/10. The extra information I sent last Saturday had already been scanned on. The very nice lady said it wasn’t with a decision maker but to expect a decision at the 18 week mark (currently 16 weeks)

Natbat87 · 17/02/2024 23:43

Has anyone had any decisions from mid November? The wait is just so stressful 😫

Sunflower1808 · 18/02/2024 06:35

@Emma2345 mine still hadnt been scanned on friday when i called i sent the 23rd jan special delivery, the lady has now put a note on my claim with the tracking number 🙈🙈x

Entwistle03 · 18/02/2024 07:14

Hi all, been tracking these posts for a while as scan date 26/10. I'm struggling to find information online so hoping someone can help. We've put claim In for my suspected adhd son but too young to test yet (4yo) he is on a one plan at preschool which I sent in. My main question Is he is now starting eye patching treatment. This is 3 hours a day and so far requires quite a lot of distracting and reminding him to leave on etc. I'm waiting for the letter to come through from hospital about this patching as they sent to GP. Does anyone know when it arrives is it worth sending this on?

mummyof3girlsx · 18/02/2024 07:44

@Entwistle03 I’d defo give them a call first thing tomorrow and see what they say. My daughter got accepted for an adhd assessment but this was done via the phone, I called dla and they took all the details and manually added them on for me! So it’s worth calling and double checking what they say x

Gracie1909 · 18/02/2024 08:07

@Amycroft are you sorted with universal credit now x

Amycroft · 18/02/2024 08:10

@Gracie1909 sort of I had my backpay but I got paid Friday and no carers allowance went into my bank even though it's on my statement now and noone got back to me so back on the phone monday!! How about you x

Gracie1909 · 18/02/2024 08:12

Did the backpay cover carer element and disability element? Omg how frustrating!! I'm still waiting for them to sort mine, it's still with a DM. Did they eventually just update your journal with the letters, I'm hoping it's soon for us. Hasn't this whole thing been an absolute nightmare. Glad we r near the end I suppose .. thanks for update 😁 xx

Hayz0711 · 18/02/2024 09:04

How long is claim usually with DM? Mine’s been almost 2 weeks. It’s a CoC, my son is very complex with lots of diagnoses. Guessing it takes longer if they have to seek medical guidance etc?

Emma2345 · 18/02/2024 12:26

@Sunflower1808 oh wow really 😂 do you no weather it’s been scanned on by now then🙈 I only sent it Friday they said it was going to arrive Monday even tho I did tracked signed for & I think next day but must be to do with the weekend why they said Monday , I was going to ring on Friday this week coming to see if they had it but I may just wait until the following week and hopefully they will get it scanned on 🤣I won’t be awarded till end of March begging April at least because that’s around 18-20 weeks but I just want to make sure they have all evidence on system to go towards his claim 😂 the wait it soo stressful
