Rang today for an update they received my child’s claim 30/1 and said it’s with the decision maker , how long does that take

@Nevesmummy21 ring them up and ask tomorrow, they’ll tell you over the phone

Never knew they sent texts saying about the award..

That means your payment will be in your bank in the next few days. They have processed it. I would call tomorrow and they will be able to tell you over the phone. The letters take a while to come x

I got this letter in January, still waiting.

On a Facebook mum group I’m in, people are saying they’re now being awarded from beginning of December so shouldn’t be long now :)

My scan date was 22nd Dec so 14 weeks tomorrow. I rang yesterday they said it's with decision management and they are currently taking up too 20 weeks 😫

Hopefully not much longer for us then 🤞🏻 will 16 weeks on Sunday for us

Just found out she is getting high rate which will be backdated from 22/11 payment will be Tuesday

Has anyone ever got dla for a child with auto immune liver disease and kidney dysplasia we were turned down I’ve just appealed but not holding out much hope

I'm so sorry your having to deal with this, unfortunately the same happened to us with ds about 3yr ago. He has one of the rarest heart and kidney illnesses (life threatening) as well as high BP and problems with his arteries! And bladder.

The fact is it's not down to what illness they have but how much extra care or help they need because of it. It's bloody awful.

Things have changed significantly for ds I past couple of years now though. Including diagnosis of ADHD, autism and OCD,
(Self harm)

Can not go to school at all now.
It may well take 20 weeks..that part I don't mind. But I'm hopeful this time we wont be refused.

It will make such a huge difference in his life. Especially the cost of taking him to special therapies and appointments. So on.

Obviously I've no idea what you put in your forms but I will keep everything crossed for your appeal.🤞 I have heard quite a few stories of this happening then the appeal working in your favour. Good luck Hun.💐

Yes I’m just 2 weeks ahead of you on scan date and still waiting. Hopefully not too much longer for us both x

My scan date is 10/12, I rang the other day and was told it is taking around 16 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ and said a decision hadn’t been made so presume it’s with a decision maker

@TimeForTeaAndMe Hi can I ask did you have any hospital or school staff to write on your behalf sometimes it works

I sent my forms on 10/02 and they was scanned onto system 21/2. I phoned today to be told it will be end of June. Hope this helps

Mt scan date is the 20th December and they are saying it with a DM but I'm unsure on how long we have to wait know

Just had a text saying there still looking into my child's DLA claim so not sure how long that is gonna take as that's 1 letter and 1 text I have from them since January 😞. Nothing worse than waiting and now knowing where you stand with anything

My scan date is 10th December, still waiting. I’ve seen on another page people have been awarded with scan dates later than mine, hope it’s not a bad sign that mine will be declined.

I seen in fb that people with date after mine have already had there decision I was thinking same as you maybe I haven't heard as its not good news
