Hiya just wondering if anyone else has had a decision for a new claim for scan date 31st May? I have called but keep being told it’s with a decision maker! Getting a bit stressed about it all now, will be 17 weeks tomorrow.

Squishmallow01 · 26/09/2024 14:33

Do you think the risk assessment my son’s school have just completed would count as evidence for a DLA mandatory reconsideration? Details how he runs off, climbs, needs staff trained in physical restraint?

Jesuslovesus · 02/10/2024 14:28

Is it true they cant give details over phone until you receive letter of decision? a friend of mine has been sent out letter but they couldn't tell her over the phone?

Mygirlsandme3 · 03/10/2024 07:24

Hiiii, new posting here! Been reading this thread for a while :)

currently waiting on claim for my girl who has asd.

I’ve seen people mention UC, could someone please tell me what you can put in for with them if you’re awarded please as I have no idea about this whole process? 😫

Jesuslovesus · 04/10/2024 09:35

@puglover93 My scan date was 21st May and I've just received a payment into my bank account. So almost 20 weeks. I haven't received any correspondence yet at all though so hopefully you'll be soon 🤞

Jesuslovesus · 06/10/2024 15:14

Thanks I was told decision was made and can take 2 weeks for letter to arrive. Just difficult waiting.

Ahhh thank you hopefully soon then! I’m freaking out a bit because I didn’t fill out the form in a lot of detail but I did send my sons health visitor 2 month check which shows he has severe development delay so hopefully they’ll be able to see from that. It’s so stressful isn’t it! So pleased you heard back and got yours though 🥰

Is that in total from the date you first put your claim in? Or 42 weeks since requesting the MR?

Hi I’ve done a change of circumstance form as my daughter has now had her full diagnosis and ehcp now, so was wanting to fight for the mobility element for her, and was just wondering if she is awarded it will she get back pay or do you not get that because she is already receiving DLA for her care needs? Thanks

She will get back pay from when COC scan date is

Squishmallow01 · 17/10/2024 15:59

Similar question, so my son’s DLA was granted and backdated to when I made the application. I’ve requested a mandatory reconsideration, if it’s successful will it be backdated to the original DLA request or the date I requested the reconsideration? Thanks xx

MrsB941 · 17/10/2024 16:22

Anyone with SD near 25/06 heard anything yet?

ThisHangryOpalEagle · 17/10/2024 16:32

Have any of the July scan dates been granted yet? Our scan date is 22nd July and I don't know how much longer we can wait, we are struggling to put it lightly

MrsB941 · 17/10/2024 17:46

They've not even got through June yet

I'm currently doing a renewal for my 4 year old turning 5 in a few months. I was previously on middle rate no mobility. He is non verbal still on a buggy due to no sense of danger n constant melt downs. He will run into the road out of impulsiveness when having a tantrum. If he sees a dog or cat even a pigeon he will start chasing it down the road so I have to keep him in a pushchair to keep him safe. He needs to be watched day n night. He is still in nappies, unable to self feed as he won't touch food n wen attempting to He will scream gag n be sick. The school have him on a reduced timetable and he comes home at lunchtime as they can't help hik eat. He is currently on an ehcp but unable to follow the curriculum and kept in a separate classroom due to this. He suddenly wakes from night terrors at 2am crying hysterically and won't settle upto 4 hours even. He has full-time support at school however, they keep leaving after a weeks due to finding his needs quite demanding which does sadden me. What are the chances for low rate mobility. I really want to support him getting some therapy. He's mental.age has been assessed as a 12 month old although he's going to be 5
