Really 25 wks that's nearly 6 months I've got 4 wks left give or take 17 wks next Wednesday and we are on 16 wks and 4 days absolutely dragging

I know it's a joke but you never know that's what they are saying on the phones is upto 25 weeks but let's hope it's not that long when it comes to it, I'm week 13 on COC after only getting awarded for care and not mobility so that's what I'm fighting for now

FeelingSizzling · 10/09/2024 19:17

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm just completing the child DLA renewal form now, and it's our first renewal. Award is til 1 November 2024. I will submit it before that date, but doubt it's going to be decided before then. Will the award continue while they decide the application and if so, will we have to repay/be given a back payment if they decide to raise or lower the award? Middle rate care, if that's important.

Have you had your renewal papers for a while? I thought they sent it to you 20 weeks before it's due for renewal? They will still keep paying you till that date then you will get a decision pretty much at that time weather still same or not that's what I know from other people on here over the different threads I have read

Fair enough, fingers crossed you get what your child deserves, are you hoping for same?

Yeah, nothing much has changed. There has been one new diagnosis but we were already on the pathway and included all the same care needs and behaviours in the last form, iyswim.

You would have had decision made Friday you payment should be 2 morrow back pay usually 5 days but goes on your bank if you ask them to put u through to some one they would have told you hopefully I’m right u get your back pay 2 morrow best of luck 🤞

Yes they said that she's been awarded middle rate care low mobility I also told them she'll be medicated soon and I'll send it all that under change of circumstances when it's all sorted should get payment by Friday or so also when do I let uc know once I've received the letter from them or now?

Some decision makers do work weekend ds as they have so much to get through with the waiting times being silly amount, about a week for a letter and 3-5 days to be paid

If you mean medication as in for sleep and want to go for HRC, I would put in for change of circumstances now detailing her night time needs and then just add the evidence as you get it as its taking upto 20 weeks for COC I'm currently on week 14 COC, I currently get HRC but no mobility so you don't have to wait even longer

Twinmummyanda9yearold · 23/09/2024 14:28

Hi, just dropping back in to ask how long COC are taking at the moment please? Been 11 weeks today since the scan date (not holding much hope yet) just wondered roughly how long I'll have to wait yet to hear anything 🤞🏼
