Sorry I’m confused so what was the waiting time between being awarded and receiving back pay?
I was told over the phone yesterday what rate my son has been awarded, no waiting for a letter etc, but not sure when to expect the back pay to be received?

Stacey0909 · 08/08/2024 22:23

Hi there anyone waiting to hear about a child moving from dla to pip? I sent my older daughters off a few weeks ago and on Tuesday I had a phone call from someone who said that she won’t have to go for a medical and she was preparing a statement to send over with the form she was quite helpful but she did ask more questions about washing and getting dressed etc just wondering if anyone has had the same if so how long does it take for a decision

3-5 working days, I got awarded on a Wednesday and recieved it on a Tuesday due to a bank Holiday which was end of May and now I get paid every 4 weeks on a Tuesday, some banks show payments pending, mine don't though

Squishmallow01 · 09/08/2024 07:22

@Mommy2boys30 thanks for your reply, yeah I guess if it’s paid every 4 weeks on a Tuesday it makes sense it’ll be in next Tuesday hopefully then.
Is anyone able to advise how successful MR’s usually are? Thanks xx

It depends what your sending off and who you get, what your trying to achieve, they classing mine as COC and not an MR to get mobility for my son, be prepared it's another 15+ weeks for MR's

Squishmallow01 · 09/08/2024 07:33

Thanks, my son was awarded MRC but it’s clearly documented in his EHCP, various reports that he is up in the night and he gets up every day at 4am and because (as also documented) he needs constant supervision as he has zero danger awareness/is highly impulsive, I have to get up with him at 4am every day to supervise him. This obviously isn’t a normal time of day to get up (& is killing me) so I believe he should be HRC as he needs day and night time supervision. There’s so much about this in his supporting evidence so I feel like maybe the decision maker only skim read it 😭
so fed up of everything always being a constant fight and long wait 😭

Are you going to MR as your child deserves HRC, it is always a battle

Squishmallow01 · 09/08/2024 19:18

@Mommy2boys30 yes I have requested MR as he definitely has night time care needs as well as daytime (my face has aged about 40yrs to show this!)
it’s so disheartening when at every point it’s a fight 😔

Jess0991 · 12/08/2024 13:40

Rang yesterday for mr update and there working on scan date 17th April x

Stacey0909 · 13/08/2024 20:46

Mine was the 11 of April and I’ve not Hurd nothing they said we should hear by the 29th august

RANI786 · 13/08/2024 20:52

Hiya my daughter got diagnosed 8th of April with AdHd and put on the waiting list for asd. Now waiting for her to be medicated. I've rang for a dla for a form by the 16th of April then sent in the form by the 15th of May tomorrow will be 13 weeks since I've sent the dla form I'm really struggling with her now 😢 I just hope she's awarded soon by 28th August it'll be 15 weeks wish they could tell me more but seriously how long is it taking? And will it be backdated by dla and uc?

RANI786 · 13/08/2024 20:57

So you sent in your form by April and still waiting and only asked for the form 16th April or earlier and sent in on the 14th of may and the scanned it in on the system on the 15th of May so my daughters dla claim may take longer to be looked at I suppose

Stacey0909 · 14/08/2024 01:26

PLouise9 are you still waiting? I know we a day apart?

Edited

So if your forms got recieved and scanned on before the 6 weeks you will get backdated from the day you called for your forms, also UC will back date it when you make the change, but with UC there is no set time frame of how long you have to wait for it to be verified, some people say a week or 2 some are weeks till they receive it

PLouise9 · 14/08/2024 08:51

Try not to panic, I've heard of people getting the letter first, I've heard of banks taking a little longer to process than others too. Also some decision makers might have to make a few phone calls about your case so I wouldn't worry. Maybe give them a ring, they were so helpful with me on Friday, make sure you have all your details at hand because they as quite a few security questions. Have my fingers and toes crossed for you hun, wishing you the best of luck <3

RANI786 · 15/08/2024 12:51

@PLouise9 hey I'm so glad for you. All good then now hope they don't take that long with my daughters x
