I'm just about to send off my daughters DLA form tomorrow. First time applying for her. Is the wait still around 20 weeks?

Kylielw · 11/06/2024 22:11

My daughter scan date was 04/03/24 has anybody got the same scan date? Rang up they said it's with the decision makers.
How long does this take to make a decision?

Jess19944 · 11/06/2024 23:04

@Kylielwmy scan date is 21st February, I’m 16 week’s tomorrow and I’ve heard nothing. Been told up to another 4 weeks when I’ve called. X

Kylielw · 12/06/2024 09:23

Oh I have never heard of that but if we are meaning the same thing it’s about a 14-15 week wait at the moment x

ThatRubyPoet · 13/06/2024 13:49

Hi
I’m on around same times as you waiting
did they send u a txt or letter about being awarded x

Mellieg11 · 13/06/2024 19:39

hi guys, been on this thread before, congrats to those that have had their award and good luck to those that are still waiting. I applied in November last year for my son and was refused .I put in a MR on 18th March, woke up this morning with a random £1021.50 in my bank. Its DLA but i have no idea what dates its from , nor rate, or even if it was backdated etc. I only applied for daily care as my sons mobility is fine, i was on the understanding if the MR was over turned wed be backdated until the original date i applied.

any advise would be great, i know i have to contact UC also as there's an element for that, I am so new to this so clueless

Starlight0212 · 13/06/2024 22:53

Sounds like mid rate only backdate from the Mr date of 13 weeks I could be wrong but I’m still waiting my Mr which they said 4 weeks but look like longer wait if yours took 13 weeks 😶

Audreyp12345 · 13/06/2024 22:55

Looks like it's low rate care hun anx looks like it's been ba k dated from November I might be wrong tho but figure adds up xxx
I hope I here soon about mine as I got low rate but I appealed it xxx

Audreyp12345 · 13/06/2024 22:58

Just means my claim is getting looked at again by someone else as stated in fort letter am not up at night ?? My daughter is up nearly all night every night lucky if am getting 3 hours off and on its s joke ?? Xx

Mellieg11 · 14/06/2024 15:47

hi guys thank you so much for your help. it was lower rate care and backdated till September last year as i had to do a MR. I will continue to appeal as i believe it should have been higher rate.
Good luck with your claim guys hope you get what your little ones deserve. what a bloody struggle.

now i have to tackle UC i am reading thats another issue.

thanks again

Mammyhero65 · 14/06/2024 19:10

Hi did anyone send it lots of evidence?

elliejjtiny · 14/06/2024 19:16

@Mammyhero65 yes. I sent in my son's autism assessment referral and also printed off emails between me and school to back up what I'd written on the form.

Mammyhero65 · 14/06/2024 19:33

Thank you 😊 I just thought I'd send to much, I've sent emails from school (he's not in School at moment ) letters from camhs and his diagnosis from his psychiatrist

ThatRubyPoet · 15/06/2024 14:30

My scan date was 26/02
received letters 1 saying then had received my claim and other saying we are looking at your claim on 14th April
had a txt 3rd of June saying we are still looking at your claim no need to contact us
then a txt today to say I have been awarded but dosnt say witch rate just says a letter will be in post with everything on it
so was 15/16 week for my wait.

such a long process

Robstersgirl · 16/06/2024 23:43

I’m 19/3 and called last week and was told it would go to DM mid July.
