My scan date is the 22 of February and they told me today I will have full outcome by June 21st

Hi all, iv put in my claims for my 2 children dated 18th feb and still awaiting, got a call today asking why my form was 4 days late and explained I have a lot on my plate being full time carer for 3 people and apologised, does this mean it’s now at a decision maker please? Thanks in advance

Hello! My scan date was also 09/02 and I had that text yesterday too. I have rang this morning and told it’s taking 20 weeks and I will have my decision on the 28th of June! I received the forms on 09/01 and sent off 22nd and it was scanned on the 9th of feb. I think there may be a back log. X

@meggivx i rang them up 16th December I should of sent them off in Jan but I was 2wks late wrote them a letter explaining why etc.. I was also told 20 wks which would be 28th June then I was told if u don’t hear back by 21st may to ring them up and that’s when I got that text yesterday but I haven’t rang them up today thinking I should just wait for the letter but not getting hopes up as I don’t think she will get it now even tho it’s a condition for life (myasthenia gravis) but if you hear anything bk from them in the meantime give us a msg and vice versa xx good luck x

Scan date 07/02 called up last week as never received letter or text saying received it, they said was with DM and should hear back by 28/05, called today and it’s in queue for DM, how can go from being with DM to now being in queue for DM defo won’t hear by 28th now 😒

Hi, I’m a bit confused - I put my sons claim in on 22nd March, I never received any communication from DWP but called them and they confirmed they had received it on 3rd April. I then had his EHCP agreed so sent the draft of this as additional evidence. I then got a letter saying they had received my application on 22nd April and will contact me when a decision has been made. So is the date they’re working from the 3rd April or 22nd April?!

Not sure if anyone can answer this but my DD turns 16 in September and I need to apply for DLA for her.

I know once she's turned 16 she needs to apply for PIP - but I cannot apply for PIP yet as she's not eligible.

Do I apply for DLA now on the basis that they can backdate it then I can apply for PIP later? Or should I put in PIP application and forget about DLA?

I know it takes 20 weeks for DLA application by which point she'll have aged out of it, but they will not be able to backdate PIP to when she was 15?

Hi I applied for both boys 16th January , scan date 15th Feb , end March they wanted birth certificates , letter saying it’s around 15 weeks wait at start of April , this afternoon I had a text said they are still looking at the claim not to call them and a letter will be sent once decided.. they have not contacted the school The health Visitor all the paediatricians. I explained all the extra care and help they needed and sent any proof I had , 8 yr old and 2 yr old both autistic on different levels , elder also has adhd , younger is non verbal no response to name , a runner and dare devil , very delayed on mile stones apart from running/walking although usually any direction other than forwards lol .. I laugh but it’s actually hard work to control his safety especially out of the house. He has eating issues and below height/weight ….. anyone else had this text with a positive outlook ? Or anyone scanned around mid feb and got a decision yet ? I called two weeks ago as worried they didn’t contact anyone I listed but was told probably don’t need to as enough evidence and writing on my form … I find it all odd and worrying tbh I’m feeling like they make us wait so both then say no with not bothering to contact any of the professionals we listed ?!

My scan date is 12th Feb. I rang this morning to chase and they said waiting time is now 20 weeks not 16 and to call back of we haven't heard by 1st July.

Hi scan date 7th feb got award high rate care and low mobility on 28th may got back pay today

They told me when called on 29th and was told she was awarded that it was 16 weeks

I rang up yesterday and was told my daughter was awarded scan date 9th Feb didn’t get back dated from when I first made the call in December she was only paid from 13th Feb 🥴 but I’m glad the wait is over good luck 🤞

Can hardly believe I'm writing this but asked for forms on 24th April, they confirmed over the phone they were scanned on 13th May and now there's two pending credits (I applied for both my kids) from DWP on my account for DLA.

No idea how it happened so quick. My oldest is soon to age out of DLA so maybe she was prioritised on that basis 🤷‍♀️

Applied for DLA renewal scan date was 6th March 2024. Received letter on 2nd May saying more info needed, upon looking at it, it seems they have lost 2 pages from my application form. Had to fill them in again & sent back with special delivery. Called after a week to see if they received it, confirmed received. Received another letter last week saying 'we've received ur dla claim dated 6th March & are looking into it, can take upto 15 weeks' My son's current DLA runs out on 19th June, 2 weeks left and also received letter from carers allowance saying this will stop. Anyone any advice? Will they make a decission before the current dla expires which is 2 weeks away?

My scan date was march 22nd and I recieved a text today saying my daughter qualified and a letter is in the post I should recieve it in ten days . I then phoned up and asked what rate she was on and they refused too tell me anything about the claim over the phone . Has anyone else rang and asked and been told no ? Strange

Hi scan date was 19 /03 this year first time applying for my daughte ive had 2 letter saying the same keep getting told 16 week wait think im on 12 th will this go over u think

I applied for my daughter back on the 23rd January, it was scanned on the 20th March but I called on Friday and they said If I don’t hear by 7th August to call back up is anyone else waiting since these dates ?

Hi all , I applied for my son in February, scan date 27th, I have received 2 letters and I've also called, I'm on week 12, the reason for the post , is my son has declined further and new diagnosis pending , I have proof can I send this recorded delivery? Will they get it in time before it reaches the decision Maker? What if he gets awarded before hand but it's proven the wrong rate as they didn't receive proof in time?

Hey, I rang 31st January. My forms was scanned 21st feb. Had a letter to say they have received my claim in March. Had a text last week to say still looking into claim but that’s all I have heard. Such a long process hun

Hello to anyone who may be able to give me some advice? I received a letter 18th April saying they received my sons form on the 5/04/24. I then got another letter on 23/05/24 saying they still haven’t got a decision, it could take 15 weeks, do not need to contact them etc. I’m just wondering what I expect now based on peoples experiences? I do not put my son or myself above anyone else’s needs but the urgency for this DLA is becoming unbearable. I’m hoping someone can help with what sort of letter I should receive next or a rough date of when my son should be awarded or even if I should be contacting them at some point to see what is happening. I understand fully it’s a long wait but can’t help feeling this helpless to our situation

Hi I’m also in the renewal process, current claim due to end 27/06. I called Dla last week and was told if I’d not heard the week before the claim is due to end to give them a call. As your claim ends next week maybe give them a call for an update
