Daughters scan date 04/01/21

Reached d.m last Monday 15/04

Was told that it's still there and it's taking up till 20 weeks for a decision 🤞🏻 for an answer soon

xJessxx · 23/04/2024 17:40

Scan date 18/12/23 I called yesterday and the person on phone said no decision was made, but I couldnt really understand him so I called back today and a decision was made yesterday afternoon so exactly 18 weeks. I did not receive an award text and the DLA1 text message to say still looking at claim I got on 25th March. It is all over the place with decisions I was getting nervous as I have seen a lot from January getting awarded. So glad the wait is over

OneTiredMumma84 · 26/04/2024 08:48

I called yesterday to make sure my forms had been received. They have and are on the system and in the decision makers queue, he advised me there is currently a backlog and decisions are taking roughly 15 weeks. Your pay won’t be back dated to when you requested paperwork if they didn’t not get returned In time by the date they gave you.
my sons school had his form to fill a part in for me and the teacher dealing with it was on leave longer than expected which delayed me getting to Citizen advice to complete the form. Mine arrived 7 days after the allocated time🤦🏻‍♀️ but was sent special delivery the day after I got my help to fill in. Sent 12/04 scan date 15/04 . Been asked not to ring back before the beginning of august.

does anyone know if my son is diagnosed or new meds in the meantime do I have to ring up and update his claim?

Snoweymum · 26/04/2024 12:16

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to look at the mobility side of things, I sent the forms off at the beginning of the month. I did ask on the fb dla page but there as helpful as a wet paper bag and decline most posts

Ciara86 · 26/04/2024 15:11

@Snoweymum do you mean a change of circumstances we are waiting since 2nd January for mobility to be looked at

Yes it was just the mobility side as he turned 5 last December, he already gets mrc, looks like I'm in for a long wait then. Thanks for the reply

Ciara86 · 26/04/2024 17:16

@Snoweymum yes we are still waiting think we are on week 17 or 18 now I have lost count but it’s apparently with the decision maker

Emssxo · 26/04/2024 20:53

they received my form for my little boy 5/04 and I know I’m in for a long wait believe me but was just wondering if anyone has theirs around this time and we could kind of wait together?

Starlight0212 · 26/04/2024 21:44

Dla child scan date 18 jan 2024
Still waiting anyone near my date about 14 weeks now told 15 weeks

SB1994 · 26/04/2024 21:53

Hi everyone. My scan date is 20/02/24, however the school took some time to fill in the parts they needed to so I sent this information a few weeks after. Should I have received confirmation of dla receiving the extra information ? I received the initial confirmation letter after sending my application but nothing about the extra information I have sent. Not sure if they let you know they have received it or not so was just wondering if I should ring them to check?

I sent my COC on 15/04, received 16/04. I called today just to double it had all been sorted properly.
The call handler answered my call at 16:57 🤣after being on hold for 1hr 5 mins.
she told me the forms had been scanned same day as arrived(in a bit sceptical about this but we’ll see when letter comes)
I asked how long change of circumstances are taking and she said currently the same as new claims which is approx 15-17 weeks. But we all know this could be longer!

Vonnie7474 · 29/04/2024 18:29

Hi mine was around 7 weeks ago but got a letter this morning to say they are taking 15 weeks

@Vonnie7474 ive seen in a different thread that MR’s are taking between 7-9 weeks. But who knows with DLA, atleast it’s a bit of an estimate for you 🤞🏼
