Sodie is DD getting an electric wheelchair via wheelchair services? If not, there are various charities that may be able to help fund one.

She can get one from wheelchair services, but we are looking at 6 months wait. It took 5 months to get her regular wheelchair from them (luckily we bought our own to see us through) I have applied to whizz kids etc but it's a year wait. We just are going to buy her one. We live in Pembrokeshire and it's all hills where we are. We can't go out much because she's doing chronic fatigue management coupled with her only being awake 6-7 hours a day.

I hope we get news next week

@Ltb17 I'm 23rd March and haven't heard anything, other than me calling them I've not had a letter to say they received my claim, or a text about delays or anything...so slightly concerned I won't know a decision unless I call them :/ think I'm gonna call Monday and find out what dates they are on now

Sodie there are other charities that can help with wheelchairs. You could try New Life (as well as grants they sometimes provide emergency loans depending on DC’s specific circumstances), Children Today, CHIPS, Variety, Boparan Trust, Caudwell Children… Depending on how specialised a chair and ‘accessories’ (I put that in quote marks as some things aren’t really accessories in the normal sense) DD needs there could be a wait even buying privately.

I have a list of charities from ot. We've got a commode, shower chair (luckily we have a downstairs wetroom) walking aid, hospital bed, repose mattress and wheelchair all from ot. She was incontinent because of how long she had a catheter and was asleep but luckily that's improved.

I’m scan date 22nd March and not heard a peep!

Mine 4 April scan I've not herd anything but was told it should be with dm by 7 June think personal depends who it goes to how well no stuff to how they manage there work pile of claims or emails waiting awfully I got feeling it be no so I've drafted my mrc ready get a head start I kept a copy of my claim so i bin through it again and looked at thought OK deny on this that other I can prepare bet lines next week be chocca with us all chasing um 😀 we all be.manning our phones for that text and chasing postie incase it letter form keep positive all x

@Katelouise95 I rang them on 26th May and they said they were working on claims upto and including 22nd March so shouldn't be too long of a wait for us I think...well I hope 🤞

Do u think because we seem get told different dates there working on is to do with who dealing with claims to area we live in

I'm not sure it's area I think it's which dm gets it, the hours they work, the speed they work, if they decide to do checks etc. I may be wrong though

Just a theary no one knows how it working unless you work there it can't he answerd

Somebody's brother does work there, and we've been told that area doesn't matter. Can't recall whose now though.

We are south England and where told in our letter 9 weeks and if we don’t hear by then to call.

Well it's been over 11 weeks for us .. I shall be calling them on Monday x

I had a scan date of 24th March, received a text Thursday to say my son qualified. I’ll join the long que Monday to find out what award he’s got.
just wanna say thanks for the updates, I’ve been following the threads for a while.

I’m the same as you 18th March and not a thing . In my head I’m thinking they are waiting for the school to open Monday to ask them there opinion? Or are schools contacted before it reaches the DM? Maybe I didn’t send enough evidence, all I sent was my daughters cahms report with her diagnosis of Autism on.

I sent mine on May 6th and I only got my 'we've got it' letter last week saying it was scanned in on the 10th May. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything as ours will be close to each other

The whole DWP is on bank holiday so no one will be in until tomorrow. My tax credit was sent early this week due to the extended BH
