@Indr I honestly give up. I have come to the conclusion that I have a crap decision maker and probably won't get awarded. You should be fine Hun though with all that evidence xx

Sophiexlx · 06/06/2022 09:56

Hi, thought I'd write in here to help anyone who's waiting as this thread has stopped me from ringing them. My forms were scanned on 23rd March. Received a text message on Thursday to say my son had been awarded and that i would get a letter within the next 2 weeks.

Sarah3587 · 06/06/2022 09:59

@Sophiexlx a few of us have scan dates or 23rd march and have heard nothing. I called last week and mine was in over time pile to be done this weekend. I think you got lucky to have heard results last Thursday.

Sophiexlx · 06/06/2022 10:02

@Sarah3587 yeah Ive noticed quite a few of you with same dates haven't heard yet so I have been lucky. Hopefully you all hear by the end of the week 🙏

Sarah3587 · 06/06/2022 10:16

Has anyone got through on the phone this morning? I’m currently in the waiting queue

MummyRoRo · 06/06/2022 10:18

Hi all.

I’ve been following this for a few weeks. Just a bit of hope for some of you…… and annoyance for the ones still waiting. (Sorry) I was scanned 7th April rang today on an off chance as I had a day off work and a decision was made 31st of may! My son was awarded middle rate care and lower rate mobility.

fyi: he’s diagnosed autistic and full time EHCP at school. Sent autistic diagnosis form and EHCP review as evidence.

StormySam · 06/06/2022 10:24

@Nicky80catri my scan date is 9th March so I know how you feel. Optimistically hoping that an immediate no would be a bit quicker so don't give up yet. My child's needs are mainly night time care so I'm not sure who the DM would contact about that if they don't believe me.

Sarah3587 · 06/06/2022 10:37

I got through on the phone.
daughters been awarded high rate care low rate mobility till she’s an adult.
I think I will appeal the low rate mobility as she more then qualifies for it as she uses a wheelchair.
will the whole award be stopped whilst I appeal or is it just the mobility part?

Hopeful110 · 06/06/2022 10:43

Okay, so the lady said they are looking claims from 29th March from today, so ours for 23rd March should of been looked at already, but mine hasn't so she has asked for it to pulled out of the que and given to a DM for urgent reviewing, so if you havent heard anything for a claim 23rd March or before I would call. X

Legofigure · 06/06/2022 10:45

@Sarah3587 if you ask for a mandatory reconsideration the whole award will be looked at again, not just the mobility part, the award can go down as well as up. The rate awarded will be paid until the mandatory reconsideration has been decided. If the award goes up they will back pay the difference.

Sarah3587 · 06/06/2022 10:51

@Legofigure ok thanks. As long as payments don’t stop then I’m fine with that.

ParentingPDA88 · 06/06/2022 10:52

Claim date 24th March, just called the helpline and informed that my child has been awarded. The advisor didn’t tell me when the decision was made but I assume it was over the weekend

Sodie · 06/06/2022 11:00

Just phoned and mine hasn't been allocated to anyone yet, but should have a decision by Friday. They are apparently working on up to the 28th March this week.

NovaaStormx · 06/06/2022 11:20

Scan date 23rd March. Just waiting on hold now. I know mines a no though so dunno why I am bothering 🙈 Only sent evidence from her social and communication needs specialist and her 121 weekly support woman.

Kelsmaizey · 06/06/2022 11:24

Anyone got a scan date of 28th March and heard anything?

Bizzlemizzle · 06/06/2022 11:31

Good luck to all those finding out soon!

I've taken some advice that was given on this thread and have applied for a Blue Badge - I still have roughly 2 weeks wait for DLA renewal and the Blue Badge can take up to 8 weeks to be looked at so another thing to wait around for! 8 weeks feels short now though with all the waiting around I've had to do over the past few years 😂

Ltb17 · 06/06/2022 11:39

@Sarah3587 yeah I was told overtime pile too when I called on Wednesday

@Nicky80catri crazy how some dms work so much slower than others

@Decafflatteplease yeah I did my son was already on hrc but he was awarded hrm after coc

NovaaStormx · 06/06/2022 11:48

No outcome for mine yet and I got my scandals wrong as it was 24th March not 23rd. But the lady did say they are working on claims up to 29th March now and I shouldn't be waiting to much longer

NovaaStormx · 06/06/2022 11:49

Scan date* sorry not scandals 🤣

Sarah3587 · 06/06/2022 12:17

@Ltb17 when you did a mandatory reconsideration for your sons hrm what extra evidence did you send? Was it awarded after this or did you have to take it further? What is coc? Sorry for all the questions just need to know what sort of battle I’m entering.

Ihatethecoldinmybones · 06/06/2022 12:17

Just on hold, I have a scan date of 18th of March

beccaajaane · 06/06/2022 12:19

Hello guys!
I’ve been following this thread and the previous one for a couple months now.
My date that they received my boys claim was 21/03/2022.
I hate talking on the phone so was trying to avoid it but was just getting so anxious waiting and everyone seemed to be getting decisions made at different times.. so bit the bullet and rang just now.
The lady told me that my boy was awarded on 31st May and my payment was processed then as well but because of the bank holiday it can take longer to receive the award letter and backpayment.
I didn’t receive a text to say he was awarded so I would recommend just ringing if you are unsure.
My boy was awarded MRC & LRM.

Good luck guys!
wishing you all the outcomes your little ones deserve xx

Ihatethecoldinmybones · 06/06/2022 12:24

Still with a case manager and they are sorry it’s taking so long. Lady said she can’t say when it will be done as they are extremely busy.

Sodie · 06/06/2022 12:50

@Ihatethecoldinmybones that's so frustrating. I don't know how I'm going to cope with another week of not knowing and then possibly having to appeal.

Katelouise95 · 06/06/2022 13:59

Just phoned them, only just with a decision maker. I got told they’re working on dates 19th-26th March! I still feel like they say anything they want and make up random dates. They said I should hear within 2 weeks and you only get a text if the DM has access to the texting app??
