Hi Karla

I'm not surprised you feel livid. Aside from anything else, the teacher's sarcastic comment about cotton wool trousers and jacket is entirely inappropriate and unprofessional. I have to go out now, but will pick up this thread later and see if anyone else has been able to help you.

Karla5 - I am incensed! How dare she say that to you? She obviously has no understanding of Asperger's! Cheeky cow!

educational psychologist is a waste of time he has too many clients met my son once while he was in nursery never had a conversation with him but comes to the review meetings and tells me how i'm going wrong i just feel that yes i will be concerned about my son there is nothing worse than a child dreading and fretting about going to school

Surely if he has been diagnosed with aspergers there must be some system and support set up in place for him? Does his teachers have this this information with targets etc?

What have they set up gor him. I understand that they should have targets etc and he should have a senco to help.

karla5 · 05/05/2004 14:38

he has an iep but is less than useless

OP posts:
hercules · 05/05/2004 14:40

You need to have a meeting with the senco to discuss his iep. Dont know much about aspergers but who has if anyone been "supporting" him up till now? Are the school accepting he has aspergers? They sound useless.

we used to have an auxillary who helped my son but after a year she was becoming scary wanted to take him on holiday buying him clothes and magazines so the school became aware and after a meeting decided to drop her since then things have gone down hill for instance got a phone call yesterday to say that they neede to discuss his medication as he also has epilepsy they've never asked me for any more details in 4 years
