Alternative to daphne keen

Hi I want to take my dd for a private assessment , she shows features of hfa and is on an NHs asd pathway. However it is talking far too long for her to get a dx and we have lost faith in them due to loosing reports etc.
Ideally I would like to take my dd to see Daphne keen but her pa isn't the best at getting back to me. Can anyone recommend anyone else whose private opinion would be credible to the NHs?

Posted too soon, I would keep the NHs app also, how rude that they are disputing what you have told them about your own son.

Does Margo Sharp travel? Could you tell me how much rougly she is and how to contact her please?

She sounds perfect for my friend's little boy with severe speech disorder and possible ASD.

Margo will travel. She is not cheap. When she assessed DS1 she did the assessment one day, stayed overnight and then interviewed parents the next day. Her details are on IE's blog.

Please forgive me for the hijack, but there seems to be some very knowledgeable people on this thread.

We are right at the start of the assessment process (senco assigned, health visitor appointment to get referral to community paediatrician this week). I strongly suspect PDA in DS (3.4): reading the description was truly a 'lightbulb moment' as it describes him exactly.

We will be assessed within Birmingham, hence for those with knowledge of Margo Sharp do you have any idea if she can diagnose / recognises PDA? Could I ask for a referral specifically to her (nhs)? Would we actually be able to get a referral to her as although DS had delayed speech he has now more than caught up? My main concern at the moment is making sure we get a referral to someone good, who will listen and who recognises PDA. Apologies if I have any terms wrong: I'm still learning how this all works (and am minding these boards a mine of information).

DS1 had assessment using disco with Margo and a diagnostic consult with Daphne Keen. The first comm paed ignored DK diagnosis and did not accept MS diagnosis. The second one accepted the diagnosis because it was made by both salt and dev paed. Tribunal ignored MS diagnosis but accepted DK diagnosis.

Both will cost as much - especially if Margo has to travel any distance or stay overnight.
