Happy Mother's Day. I hope that you are brought lots of analgesia and soothing drinks. Get well soon x

Still, at least you're getting a rest and a lie in Wink.
Fish and chips at the seaside for us at Streaky Towers, then ds has an indoor surfing thingy this afternoon.
What's everyone else up to? Have a fab Mother's Day, all Grin.

Badvoc · 10/03/2013 08:03

Thank you.
Had booked my first ever Mother's Day meal at a lovely hotel.
So am feeling a tad sorry for myself today, which is deeply pathetic.
:(
Haven't felt this ill for a loooong time...
I might actually try and have a wash today...didn't manage yesterday!

Then re book the meal for next month after Easter. The flu will have definitely have passed and the restaurant won't be heaving. Also it will be a beautiful sunny Spring day and guaranteed to make you feel special x

All calm and happy here. Lots of cards and some home made gifts. Got a new troll bead which was an angel. Rather apt as it made me remember my own mum today who is sadly no longer with us.

Younger son busy on minecraft, elder son is feeling poorly so crashed on the sofa. Going to get dressed and me and my 9 year old daughter going to go out and have coffee and cake in our favourite cafe and get away from the boys for an hour or so

Happy247 · 10/03/2013 10:07

Happy Mother's Day all.

My LO is unwell been up all night with a upper tract infection!!

sweetteamum · 10/03/2013 10:11

Happy Mother's Day all . . We are currently all happy and chilled (I am expecting it to blow up very soon though)

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 10/03/2013 10:16

I got flowers and chocolates(the kids favourites!) and a lovely card DS made at school, however he associates cards with birthdays so I've had happy birthday sang to me on a loop since 5 this morning :)
If the queen can have 2 birthdays a year then it's fine by me too :)
Happy Mother's Day ladies .

Happy Mother's Day lovelysSmile

Am sat on the bed with some chocolate and Ame ('mummy, we're drinking wine!'), listening to my new Frank Sinatra cd (from girls, ds got me Nick Drake - good taste!) it is lovely. Dh handed me the Ame, chocolate and iPad and told me to have a 'puddle of peace and quiet'.

Breakfast in bed didn't quite work out, because ds was screaming the place down, he is absolutely encrusted in snot, poor little thing.

Have just been for a walk to put flowers on a dear friend's grave, whilst dh starts getting lunch ready, then dd gave me a poem she had written, which made me cry, I feel very very lucky.

Hope everyone has lovely days.

lougle · 10/03/2013 11:57

Happy Mothers' Day everyone.

I am up to my eyes in cooking a dinner for Mum -Dad has what you have, Badvoc, it's vile. He's been really poorly, starting to be on the mend now, but can't risk giving it to DD1 - she'd be absolutely floored. So he's sending Mum up for dinner, which is a really big deal because she has long-standing depression and is unhappy to leave Dad without dinner. I'm making her favourite pudding Grin

I got a box of forrero rocher, which was nice. They also got me a mug with a teddy in the box and they kindly reassured me that now I have a teddy to cuddle in bed Grin They'd each made a card for me. DD2 had sewn a beautiful heart at school - she'd worked so hard with really neat stitching; quite an achievement for a 5 year old! DD1 had planted me some pansies in a little pot with tissue paper around it.

Polter, count your blessings - I nearly lost Mothers' Day altogether because DD2's school had changed the day to Friday Wink

Happy Mothers day everyone Smile

Get well soon Badvoc. Flowers

DS made me a cup of tea and brought it to me in bed, he asked me to show him how last night [again- he usually forgets something] the tea was perfect and he was very pleased with himself!

No cards or gifts yet as my 16 yr old who organised it all is still asleep!
