Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would personally have a quiet word with the teacher (and SENCO if necessary since they have been involved in this decision) and ask to be moved asap. As you say, they put up with lots at home and should experience the different children, esp when they start school. I would suggest however, if needed, that my DC can be involved in a group setting with this child with possible SN as my child would be better match than most in the class.

My DS2 NT, same like your DD Star has just started school and is loving it, has made lots of friends and playdates have already started. I havent shared with school about his brother SN. But same like your DD he puts up with lots of unintentional ignorance, non cooperativeness and at times has to come down at my other son level so that they play. He plays better with my DC3 who is only 1.

Its just an opinion, you are the mum and do what it feels right for you, for your child.
