Gary McKinnon (Aspergers) not going to be extradited

For anyone interested in this story, it's just been announced he won't be extradited to the US for hacking BBC story here.

We'd love to put this thread as a discussion of the day - but we tend not to do that with SN threads, as the SN section is an opt-in only section.

Would anyone mind if we moved this thread to our In the News topic?

Perfectly fine if you'd like it to stay. We just thought we'd ask...

I don't know...wouldn't it be a case of just waiting for the disablist rants to start? That's why most of us hide out here in the first place.

We'd nuke the disablist stuff. Tis against the rules n all (as well as being horrible/uncalled for etc etc).

Would it be possible to copy it without moving it? I don't have In The News enabled because its depressing and I have enough on my plate, and other sn parents may feel the same
