I have DD who has multiple diagnoses. I have DS2 who has multiple diagnoses.

And now, after a first Paed appointment with 20mo DS3, the Paed has told me that he is hyperactive, probably ADHD, his speech is behind, his ability to follow instructions is behind, he has hypermobile joints.

Waaaah. 3/4 DC's with issues. Me with 3 different disabilities.

I am a Lone Parent. Have been for 16 months.

I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired.

Unless anyone wishes to give me sympathy strokes.

No wonder you're in need of sympathy. I can't imagine what you must go through on a daily basis.

It's hard when you are on your own, all the responsibility, nobody to tag you, no-one else to share the good bits or the bad bits. You can do it, though. Do you have any RL support? We'll be here for you as well. X

Oh, I know what I'm doing. I just don't think I have the energy to keep in doing it after 14 years...

Thing is, I knew DS3 was hyperactive, but for a Paed to see it himself in a fairly short appointment means that it is pretty bleeding obvious. like a sodding klaxon tbh.

Though on the plus side, systems seem to have improved here since the older 2 were dxd, less than 8 week wait for SALT (I waited 2.5 YEARS for DS2!!), supervised nursery sessions to see how he interacts with other DC's/ other adults, regular appointments with Paed, genetic testing right away I haven't been trying for 13 years to get this for first DD then DS2 given out family history, not at all..., and best if all, a referral to the EP at just 20mo for early intervention.

Which under the old Paed (now retired) never happened.

But right now, all I can think is "WHY ME, AGAIN??!!"

(And the answer to that is likely to be arrived at through the genetic testing! )

I can sympathize with you and I often say why me for other reasons. 4 special needs/disabled kids here and a hubby who can't look after his own diabeties, so may as well be parent to all of them lol

Ive read your posts before couthy as another poster with chronic conditions. Im sorry that you have been told thus but I guess it is really great that you haven't had to wait years.

Sorry that was meant to say that I really admire what you do. I just have one child with sn and that is hard enough.

Feel for you couthy, keep coming on here if you need to vent. We will know what you are talking about.

Thank you all. Had a REALLY shitty day today, after only getting less than 3 hours sleep last night. Cheers DS3.

DS1's SM decided to shout at me in the street again. How I stay calm and icy polite is nothing short of a miracle with that child abusing bitch..

Then I had to wait in the supermarket for two flipping hours for DS3's Nutramigen to turn up on the order, as I have been trying to buy a can for 4 sodding weeks, to tide me over when his scrip runs out. Which it did. This morning. Hence having to wait 3 bleeding hours.

Then I had to get home, throw food at fridge & freezer, and go to town to buy Halloween costumes for the DS's disco tonight. That I only found out about last night because they have been ill for 3 weeks.

Then I had to grab the older DS's from school and take DS1 and myself to the GP's. our GP NEVER runs more than 5 minutes late. Except today. When I am in a massive sodding hurry. So of course, he was running more than 30 minutes late.

DS1 now has his 3rd course of AB's in 3 weeks. I now have AB's. and some decent bloody pain meds. And an early scrip for DS3's Nutramigen.

Then had to rush home, throw dinner at cooker, hunt out clothes, sort out costumes, and get back to bus stop.

Then did DS2's face paint on the bus (!), dropped them off and went to the supermarket to fill scrips. Finally got in at 7.45.

Uuuurrrggghhh!!

Now taken super duper pain meds, and pain is back to almost bearable levels rather than making me cry levels.

Oh, and I forgot DD's epic meltdown at 8am this morning that made me miss the bus and get the DS's to school late.

On a brighter note, my pain meds have kicked in. So I feel a bit more ok.

I guess I just think that I already had more to deal with than most parents, so why the hell do I get yet more to try to deal with?

It was already hard enough to turn up on time, to the right consultant, with the correct DC in tow before DS3 has been out in the waiting list for 101 more. I think my brain may actually melt...

And yes, I have turned up to an ENT appointment for DD with DS2 by accident in the past! (Well, if they will book appointments for two siblings just two days apart, with a Lone Parent with memory problems, wtf do they expect...)

This week alone, 10yo DS1 has lost 3 teeth now, last tonight. DS2 got in on the action loosing a tooth 3 nights ago too.

The tooth fairy can't be arsed to fly upstairs tonight. But if she doesn't visit DS1 then DS2 might stop believing as they share a room...

I will let you off, but after 14 years of getting it emailed to me weekly, it gets a bit old!

I don't have an issue accepting DS3 has SN's, I have an issue accepting that it is humanly possible to effectively look after 3 DC's with SN's, plus one who should have an AS dx but I cba is supposedly NT, when I'm on my own, disabled myself, and local SS aren't any more use than a chocolate teapot.

For starters, I have uncontrolled epilepsy, was meant to be referred to OT 5 years ago for a wet room, and still have to wash with a flannel in the sink.

Fucking useless is the only way to sum up my local SS, both children with disabilities team AND Adult Social Care.

And you can come and squeeze my tits if you want, it's been a while!!
