disclaimer: I have never bought services from Autism Partnership and do not work for them. This is purely for information for those that might be interested to find out more about ABA for free.

My 'personal' opinion is that this geezer is worth listening to having read some of his stuff.

Lucky you! And at last!
Ours is next week
Think we are on course for one of the other kind

Oh, that's really good to hear star, you can breathe easy for now. Long may it continue.

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/10/2012 17:36

Oh Agnes! Perhaps our luck will rub off on you. No doubt you are prepared but we all know that being right isn't often enough.

Let me know how it goes. It must be a very stressful time.

Let me know too if you want me to do any FOI requests etc.

How fantastic.
It is soul destroying having to fight with people who as part of their job need to delve into the most personal aspects of your life.
So pleased for you. Smile

Yes we have Mr BS orchestrating behind the scenes (they hired him a few months after our tribunal - odd coincidence they hired a lawyer from 200 miles away, no-one had ever heard of, with no track record, but who happened to be great at getting rid of ABA programmes - trying hard not to take it personally but as DS is only child in the LA in past 7 years with ABA its hard not to!) Still we outmanoeuvred them last year and reports all good - few niggles with SALT but nothing much. EP still on side. On paper there is no basis for any change...but that was true last year and didn't stop them trying.

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/10/2012 20:19

Oh ffs. You have nothing to fear from the legal aspect of his work, - it's all the other shit, which I imagine delights your LA.

Still, stress aside, I am not afraid of him and nor should you be.

Not that worried as know will have no basis, its just the stress and shit that goes with it. Been blissful having no dealings with LA for 6 months. Having AR at school at our suggestion - DS1 and DS2 told me they will sneak out of class to egg the SEN officers car and stick a banana up her exhaust Wink

Wow, really glad your review went well Starlight, and sorry i wasn't here when your needed support, but wouldn't have said anything different to what moondog has about non compliAnce. We have had major building work going in the house since the start of the school year and with 3 young children has been really hard work for me, I haven't been online at all:(

About the OT, there is a a writing practise booklets that will help strengthen weaker area and improve writing, pm me if you want a copy.

And thanks for sharing this workshop info, I'm booked for the Saturday and on waiting list for Sunday.

Agnes, good luck with your annual review next week

StarlightMcKenzie · 21/10/2012 18:49

Thank you BlueShark. I really ought to send a thank you email, and will do once I can figure out how to word it. I'm nervous of telling people I am happy with anything because in the past my words have been twisted and used against me so I've become very careful.

I have to admit I felt a bit bereft of my lack of opportunity to point out how crap they were, because they really weren't. So all I'm left with now is a child with significant needs and nobody to blame for them, which is harder than I thought it would be.

Don't get me wrong. It's not all perfect and I imagine there will still be issues that come up but what a difference this new experience....

Hope your building work ends soon.

Thinking of you Agnes
