ds1 has pooed in the bath Sad He's taken a whole load of plastic figures in there, played with them and there's faecal bits floating around in there now.

I've drained the bath, swilled him down with warm water and am now refilling it with disinfectant in.

I'm disgusted Angry

@thecalming - hahaha I used to put dettol on my teenage acne and put a sticking plaster on top! This was a recommendation in Jackie magazine, at one point I had 23 plasters on my face!

Hidden - glad you are moving and getting some help with ds Smile

DS has a dairy intolerance & ASD. To this day I still keep a bottle of "savlon" (used for midwifery & first aid) in the bathroom cabinet ever since some numpty gave him dairy 2x in his first 1/2 term in reception. It might be worth you investing in a bottle OP.

I'm actually totally convinced that the OT at that CAF meeting will be able to help you. In my area they seem to be the only HCP's that even acknowledge that dyspraxia exists. cahms assumed it was my crap parenting that meant DS could dress himself, use cutlery etc. I now totally refuse to have anything to with my local cahms as they actively obstructed my child from accessing the help he needed for years. The OT gave us some real solutions to some of DS's issues and a roadmap to overcoming others. I'm still pinching myself Wink

Go to that meeting prepped with the private dx and a list of all his issues. Photocopy a one pager of his issues before the meeting and hand it out at the start - this is so you don't get flustered and forget to mention something critical.

Good luck and do keep posting here in special needs - we'll do our best to support you.

Thank you bochead, the nurse did say she'd advocate for us because I explained to her just how obstructive CAMHS had been in the past. I also have access to another advocate should I need it. I do speak up in meetings and can express myself okay, but they seem to be very adept at using 'weasel words' in order to wriggle out of things. They just steamroller ahead and do what they want. The nurse assured me this wouldn't happen this time. She could tell that we're desperate for a proper assessment this time. It's just gone on for too long. We're also going to be issued with a family worker to talk to us about how we're coping with the stress and practical challenges.

It sounds like you already have enough to get the school nurse to request the community paediatrician sees him for a second opinion

if it helps you any more the clinic you used is registered with the care quality commission (reg number 07835525),they lecture nationally and internationally as well as provide court evidence and fuck me sideways with a rusty pitchfork they also see NHS patients actually in clinic for the nhs they would have sent the gp at the time a full report and will appear on the nhs approved list.

Socknickingpixie · 21/09/2012 20:10

oh and im not stalking you or anything i just checked them out trying to be helpfull

hiddenhome · 21/09/2012 21:47

Oh, no thank you for all this information. I never realised Sad It seems that not only are CAMHS inept and useless, but are also happy to do the dirty on people.

That list completely describes ds who is 6.2. He was diagnosed as autistic at 3.6

If they decide it is aspergers push for a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder which covers aspergers but means you will be able to access support and services more easily. In some areas children diagnosed with aspergers or high functioning autism aren't eligible, only those diagnosed with asd or autism.
