We got the call this afternoon - DS2 has a place at the SS we asked for!! We've just beenn out to get uniform and info and took him with us. He absolutely loved it there!!

Soooo thrilled! (and unbelievably relieved that we don't have to go to tribunal!!)

Triggles · 19/07/2012 18:22

Thanks Smile I think we're still reeling from the surprise a bit. They called us about an hour before school got out today (his last day of school). I made her repeat it on the phone to make sure I heard correctly. Grin

oh, great news! well done!

word of warning - the formal confirmation can take time, so definitely don't cancel tribunal before you've had it. we waited 10 (nerve-wracking, nail biting) weeks for ours, iirc. we were beginning to think we'd dreamt it all!

hope your ds settles well in his new school in September Smile

Triggles · 19/07/2012 18:37

Thanks for that. She did say we should get it in writing next week, and then they wanted us to cancel the tribunal after we'd received the confirmation, so hopefully it won't take too long.

Yay! Well done. Which one did you get? The one I'm thinking of? :)

NoHaudinMaWheest · 19/07/2012 22:15

Great news. So glad you didn't have to go to tribunal.

Triggles · 20/07/2012 11:21

Galena He's going to the Bel one, next to the Bet one. Is that the one you're thinking of? Grin

Silverfrog we got it in writing today in the post! Wow! Although no mention of transport arrangements or costs at all. I'm not sure where to check for that. Perhaps I'll ask the lady from PP.

Great news - so pleased for you.

Now you can sit back and enjoy the summer holidays.

Galena · 20/07/2012 12:52

Fab! I wasn't sure if it would be Bel or Bet but fantastic! Not been to that one - go to Bet weekly though.

Triggles · 20/07/2012 19:00

Anyone know how the transport stuff is sorted?

OP posts:
silverfrog · 20/07/2012 19:55

we got sent transport forms along with the final statement.

we got the statement, a form to tick (yes we agree statement/no we don't), and another set of COP/appeal procedure documents/what happens next, and some pages on transport - sheets explaining the criteria to qualify, plus a yes we want it/no we don't tick box form again.

could well vary from area to area, though.

Triggles · 20/07/2012 20:26

ok. I'll ask the lady from PP on Monday. thanks
