I've just sent you a PM, but realise I should have emailed the enquiries address. Will do that this pm as have to go out now. I have been in touch before but we really need to make wills now not just procrastinate!

No problem, have messaged you back Smile

Sorry, but surely then you are simply trying to get around the rules here???

Reported.

sneezecakesmum · 02/07/2012 19:42

A tad unfair triggles. mumblechum is very genuine and is addressing a need many parents with SN voice but are unsure where to turn for help.

Anyone with expertise in an area like this should be welcomed. Hope MN leave this Smile

Triggles · 02/07/2012 19:49

Not unfair at all. No advertising means just that. Genuine or not, there are rules that all others are expected to follow.

If they allow this, then it opens it up for multiple others to post similar messages. Sorry, but rules are there for a reason.

sneezecakesmum · 02/07/2012 19:54

OK Mrs jobsworth

Triggles · 02/07/2012 19:56

Let's at least remain adult about it, eh? Obviously we don't agree on this, but I'm looking at the bigger picture here. Sorry it that makes you unhappy.

peggyblackett · 02/07/2012 19:57

FGS Triggles Hmm.

Mumblechum, I will take a look :).

sneezecakesmum · 02/07/2012 20:01

Plenty of MNs can vouch for mumblechum peggy Smile

cormsilky · 02/07/2012 20:07

I've just had a look - we both need to do wills. I'll speak to dh later. Thanks for this mumblechum - it's something that we know we need to do but just never seem to get round to...

Triggles · 02/07/2012 20:13

For heavens sake, I'm not saying mumblechum is a bad person or a business risk. But this board is not supposed to allow advertising. If they bend the rules, then it leaves it open for others to post as well with ads.

There have been others that were also genuine that were removed previously.

Hi there
Many thanks for the reports about this.
While we do have rules about advertising, this MNer has paid though, and we really get the Big Red Delete Button out for spammers who pepper the boards willy nilly.

exactly. it's not allowed to cross ref on other boards to my knowledge.

mumblechum1 · 02/07/2012 20:45

Blimey, didn't mean to upset anyone Sad

I'll ask MN to delete the OP. I just thought that as a lot of parents of children with SN really need wills, and as I am giving a big discount for those types of wills, it would be helpful, but of course I understand the rules around advertising.

Apologies to anyone who I've upset.

mumblechum - Sorry, it's nothing personal. the problem is IMO that it then opens the door for others to post ads, and there's no way to discern which is reliable business and which is not. And this way it's a level playing field as well for any businesses that have ads in the appropriate section. The last thing many of us want is to wade through numerous ad posts in a SN support section.

JustFabulous · 02/07/2012 20:51

You tried to do a lovely thing, mumble.

mumblechum1 · 02/07/2012 20:57

Thanks Just Fabulous. The offer's still there.

I've now reported my OP.

Mumblechum - For what it's worth, I did suggest to MN that they put another section (SN classified or something like that) in the SN section for ads to be placed there. That way it's not on the support part of the board, but is there for people to see and benefit from.

mumblechum1 · 02/07/2012 21:03

I do know, as the mother of a (sadly now deceased) son with severe cerebral palsy, and as I volunteer both with Riding for the Disabled and Barnardo's, I have a lot of contact with children with a variety of disabilities and know how tough life can be (but very very rewarding as well - the highlight of my week on Friday was trotting with a little lad with autism who had been really struggling, but as soon as he was trotting his face lit up and he just loved it).

Sorry, I digress!

Hello
Thanks Triggles, this may well be a good idea. We will have a think about it at the Towers. We definitely don't wanna annoy folk so we will delete this shortly.
Thanks
