Wow camping with a new born, you are supermum aren't you?! :) I would be demanding a luxury bed and breakfast at least!

SparkleRainbow · 11/06/2012 13:57

Fingers crossed on three car seats.....you may have to get the belts fastened without children in the seats and then slip them in afterwards.....done this a few time Grin

Every new baby needs a couple of new vests anyway! Can I make you a Brew whilst you are waiting?

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 14:01

It wasn't in my life plan, - honestly. My DB is getting married in a remote field he is setting up as a music festival. We're very close and he'd be gutted if we and the kids didn't camp. As my dad recently passed away it's kind of important we're all together iyswim.

He's not unreasonable generally but having never had his own kids yet he doesn't know about things like lochia etc.

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 14:02

Love a [tea] - TA!

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 14:04

I guess also, after the last 18 months I've had I probably just can't function anymore if my life isn't difficult in some way.

frizzcat · 11/06/2012 14:06

Femfresh wipes for the hygiene
Just strap one of the mini-stars to the roof, you can never have too much fresh air or vitamin D.
Don't worry about the vests because by the time this baby makes an appearance he'll be walking, talking and starting his first job!!

SparkleRainbow · 11/06/2012 14:09

Grin frizzcat!

Somebody once told me challenges make you stronger.........anyone want some of mine, I feel strong enough already Grin

Starlight - you are amazing me yet again, not the first time, and sure it won't be the last!

coff33pot · 11/06/2012 14:26

get a trailer and pad it out with belted seats and a roll cage Grin

frizzcat · 11/06/2012 14:34

Coff is my kinda gal - the trailer also has the added bonus of being detached from car and therefore prevents you from hearing any wailing thus taking care of the stopping at every service station. It'll be a straight run, you'll be there in no time Grin
Star, you've gone quiet is that the silence of a contraction??

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 14:38

No, I'm filling in a Winnie Dunn sensory questionnaire for ds' school. Do you mention the sensory issues he has but has been taught strategies for or just the ones that are causing problems?

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 14:40

Don't have a tow bar. Otherwise great idea Coff. It will also give the added risk of a child protection case being opened and a possible prison sentence. Sound like my kinda drama level.

Do you think they'd bring the tribunal to Holloway?

Cant be a child protection issue!.....................well if you left them in an open trailer .........Grin

I got a small fiesta and we have managed 2 car seats and a booster seat (base only) for the middle eldest child :)

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 11/06/2012 15:50

If the booster seat is in the middle it should work, or if a lap belt only, put the forward facing seat in the middle. We had a pretty old metal framed car seat that was up quite high in the middle which made fitting other seats in a bit easier.

I went to a wedding 200 miles away when DS2 was 3 weeks old. The car journey took ages because I found I impossible to breast feed safely while on the move! So lots of stops, but at least with your third you know they won't starve if you extract them after 10 mins. Smile

claw4 · 11/06/2012 15:57

Star has been quiet for an hour now, i reckon its done and dusted Smile

I can't take this anymore...... I've only been on this thread for a few hrs and I can't cope with the pressure of waiting for this baby and wondering if I too could fit three car seats in my back seat..... And I only have 2 dc and I'm defo not pregnant, see!? its the pressure - think I need gas and air

Gah - been out for the day to a discovery park with the dc, come back and what do I find?

C'mon now Star, admit it, you had the baby a week ago really and are just stringing us along while you multi-task (mnetting with breastfeeding).

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 18:29

I'm tempted to disguise the birthday for the LA but tbh I can't really be bothered. Hearing date so blimmin far away now that I can't think of anything they could do that would require immediate attention. Although I do have a package waiting at the local post office so perhaps that is something.........

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 18:31

My mum has come over tonight and offered to babysit for dh and me to go out for drink
