Cuts to services for Deaf Children

MNetters. Please can you open the attached e-petition and sign it. It's been raised by the NDCS (Nat deaf children's soc) to lobby the Govt. about stopping LAs from sneakily getting rid of essential services for deaf children in education, health and welfare. It's wrong, quite frankly. Thank you, I know you won't let these children down.

done, it's so important kids with SENs aren't disadvantaged even more.

robotcornysilk · 02/06/2012 09:44

done

Tooloudhere · 02/06/2012 10:03

Done, the ndcs have helped us a lot already they do amazing work as do our teachers of the deaf but they are stretched enough without further cuts.

ornellaia · 02/06/2012 10:24

Signed. IME local services for deaf children are pretty bad already, I don't see how they think they can cut back even more.

starfish71 · 02/06/2012 10:30

Hi all, we're afraid we're going to have to delete this thread as we do have a rule against petitions. OP we will mail you direct about this.

skrullandcrossbones · 02/06/2012 10:55

Perhaps you could have a place for petitions? I like hearing about things like this.

CatherineMumsnet · 02/06/2012 11:20

Hi skullandcrossbones, thanks for the suggestion. We'll certainly put it forward.

SallyBear · 02/06/2012 12:46
