Cuts to services for Deaf Children

MNetters. Please can you open the attached e-petition and sign it. It's been raised by the NDCS (Nat deaf children's soc) to lobby the Govt. about stopping LAs from sneakily getting rid of essential services for deaf children in education, health and welfare. It's wrong, quite frankly. Thank you, I know you won't let these children down.

I've signed this too. Totally unjustifiable.

Mumsnet HQ

Why can't this information be shared?

I don't have a deaf child so wouldn't have known about the petition but am more than happy to support other parents in a small way. In turn the mother of a deaf child may choose to support a campaign for ASD kids at some point.

By posting people can share what different charities, and disability groups are doing and choose to sign or not.

Given that so many of us have such restricted opportunities to get out there and campaign, due to our children's disabilities this does seem rather unfair.

Brilliantly well said Bochead. Smile

Signed the petition and completely agree with Bochead. I'm glad I was made aware.

signed we just found out dd as hearing problems too

Signed and I agree too. Mumsnet don't mind promoting their own little hobby horses. On this page, we should be left to support each other and police any petitions we feel are inappropriate.
