What a day..... Had a call last night from my DF that my Grandad (95) was deteriorating. So I have spent all day with him. Exhausting. What upsets me is NOT the fact he is not far from death, but more my Sister's attitude. She won't see him, as it's too hard to see him old and frail and close to leaving us. I tried saying that he has feelings, and that a visit would be a boost for him. But no. She is resolute that she wants her memories to be the ones when he wasn't wincing with pain, struggling for breath or just looking so goddamn old!! Angry
On a more positive note, DS4 is loving his new Special School. It's wonderful to see.
We saw a C4 doco Body Shock Turtle Boy, and the surgeon from GOSH, is the same one who will be doing DD's ear reconstruction surgeries in August!! Nice to see him at work Smile
I am now off to drink more Sauvignon Blanc, plenty left for you all! Wine Grin

Re: diet...check out the harcombe diet (avaiable on amazon) I had great success with it (lost 1.5 stone in a month) and it tries to tackle some of the reasons we overeat, its not just a diet IYSWIM? Must go back on it when my iron levels are back to normal!

Update on errant sister. She is going up today to Warwickshire to see our Grandad. It's probably nearly a year since she last saw him. So I am relieved that she is going up. She probably won't go again, but it's good that she is going now. Smile Thanks for your support. It's nice to see that people understand it from from both sides. It helped me understand her mindset more. Thank you girls. X
