Back to school on Monday. DS4 starts his new Special School then. It will mean that I am driving all over town doing 3 school drop offs, but we are really looking forward to a new approach. Grin
We had a mixed week, bought a trampoline which DH is putting up over the weekend. Managed to be successful in the Wimbledon Ballot so I have Court No 1 tickets. Very excited. Not quite so exciting was my trip to A&E last night after DD broke her nose. She has a craniofacial syndrome, so we are off to see her Maxillofacial surgeon next week for his professional opinion on whether it will need resetting!

I can remember it before it was a Harvester too.

They've totally ruined that nice big 'field' at the back. the kids used to love running around that pub garden.

We go there about once a week - cos some nights I am just too kanckered lazy to cook.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/04/2012 21:50

Oo, crossed. Yes, used to have to avoid the Cherry Tree cos the teachers went there. The big barn conversion was my usual haunt, though. God knows why. Confused

WetAugust · 13/04/2012 21:53

The big barn conversion closed for a while. I hear it's quite rough - but I've never been in it.

Happy chocolately dreams.

creatovator · 13/04/2012 21:56

Night night Ellen. Have some chocolate for me too Grin.

SallyBadBear, I have just had to scrape my dh off the floor reading that, he has tears of laughter...pain, I'm not sure which in his eyes. Thankyou - we very much needed that!

Sorry to hear of chest problems, I seem to remember you saying before about the '1 chest infection a year thing', Sally, worrying really seeing as ds has had 3 this year already. He has been well for a whole month now, and the difference in him is amazing. I am going to ask his physio about the lung exercises next week, one thing i have noticed is that every single time he eats or drinks, his chest sounds rattly and full of liquid, I guess that is the aspiration? With ds, our gp is the only one that seems to be able to hear when he has an infection, as his chest is so noisy anyway. At Christmas 2 other drs listened and said that he didn't have an infection (despite a temp of 40), he ended up in hospital with crp levels of 240 and an xray showing a huge cloud of infection in his left lung, and had to have abs via drip.

Knackered today as dd1 was up in the night being sick, dd2 has snuggled up on the sofa with her in sympathy, and they are planning to spend whole day in pjs watching films.

SallyBadBear! Love it!!GrinGrin
Hazey DS1 has been vomming all night too! Sigh.... Definitely ask about the chest exercises. They help, and I was told that is part of the regimen for CF patients. Your GP probably does percussive tapping when he listens to the chest. This is old school doctoring practice which I wish that people still did. Sad

Glad that you ladies enjoyed the review. I cried with laughter, especially after reading some of the other reviews listed below the first one!Grin

Another one that's been up all night with a poorly child here. Dd's temp was 39.5 and rising and she was delirious, so I was up most of the night fretting over her.

Its come down to 38 with calpol (and ice lollies) though and she seems happy enough in herself, despite looking dreadful. No other symptoms, so am a bit Confused. She said she had a sore head last night, but I've asked her this morning and she says it doesn't hurt anymore. Confused

Sorry to hear we seem to have a bit of a poorly dcs theme going on here this weekend.

Becaroooo · 14/04/2012 16:18

Sorry so many dc are poorly Sad

Ds1 back to school on monday.

Ds2 1st day at pre school too. Pray for me!!!

Very quiet week here, really. Heard my cousin (who has had MS for over 30 years) died on Thursday Sad Not much chance of me getting to go to her funeral (big city a fair way from here) and I feel bad about that Sad

SallyBear · 14/04/2012 16:24

Sorry to hear that Becaroo. Condolences. Sad
