Back to school on Monday. DS4 starts his new Special School then. It will mean that I am driving all over town doing 3 school drop offs, but we are really looking forward to a new approach. Grin
We had a mixed week, bought a trampoline which DH is putting up over the weekend. Managed to be successful in the Wimbledon Ballot so I have Court No 1 tickets. Very excited. Not quite so exciting was my trip to A&E last night after DD broke her nose. She has a craniofacial syndrome, so we are off to see her Maxillofacial surgeon next week for his professional opinion on whether it will need resetting!

Indeed Ellen.... every cloud, but no it wouldn't be my preferred diet method. I'm doing some toning exercises which only last 7 mins, before breakfast, and they really work for me! I got a book promising they'd make a difference and they do Grin Grin. I hate exercising for its own sake.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/04/2012 19:59

Ta, moose. I'm a great one for sitting on my arse, which was why it got so big, but not so good at exercise.

moosemama · 13/04/2012 20:00

Creatovator, have you had a look at [www.myfitnesspal.com at all? I use it to log my food intake and find it really helps me to make good food choices. There's also a community/forum on there that is good for inspiration/motivation and recipes.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/04/2012 20:00

7 mins, eh? Hmmmm?

creatovator · 13/04/2012 20:01

Not seen that one Moose... will take a look.

Off to watch Eddie Stobbart now. I got hooked when I wasn't well Blush. Will be back later.

creatovator · 13/04/2012 20:03

Ellen the book is called, "6 min morning toning" by Faye Rowe

moosemama · 13/04/2012 20:04

Ah, but you can do that workout whilst sitting on your arse Ellen. Grin

I'll try that link again shall I? My Fitness Pal Blush

I like the shred and others of the same ilk because they are so short. I actually prefer Banish Fat Boost Metabolism though, because you don't need any weights and you can select which circuits you do. Its all high intensity circuit training, which is hard, but when you reach the point when you feel you might actually be going to die, its all over and you can collapse, happy in the knowledge that you will now continue to burn calories for the next few hours without actually moving off your arse. Grin

SallyBear · 13/04/2012 20:18

I think I need to do the shred. I am leafleting for local elections on Monday, so I will wearing ankle and wrist weights. Also a good defence incase anyone doesn't like the local candidate or politics in general and sets their dog on me...! Grin

Lenin, sorry to hear you are feeling low. Hope you can manage to organise a break soon.

Justa, they sell it on Amazon, so you should be able to get a copy. Mine only cost a fiver and was the best investment ever. (I lost over 18 inches across my body the first time I did it!)

Poor ds1, its so hard when they are such perfectionists isn't it. Ds1 is the same, but mainly about his maths, it doesn't matter how many people, including all his teachers, tell him he is really good at it, he just won't believe it. Sad

Ugh, I can see that everyone is talking about exercise and losing weight.....

I am feeling relieved and a bit down about ds's genetics appointment today. Good that they are finally going to do a cgh array, and agree with the point I made a year ago, that the root of his problems looks genetic. But down about the reality of sitting in a room trawling through my messy family history, and ds's issues whilst another dr photographs ds to discuss with another bunch of drs.

Ah well. I am going to pour a glass of wine, and eat some crap and read through the rest of the thread (trying to ignore the healthy living bits!)

SallyBear · 13/04/2012 21:02

I think I'll join you Hazey! All this talk of exercise has me running for the hills, except that would mean physical activity!!Wink

Hi Justa, Lenin and Hazey

Justa Hope the rugby goes well. Maybe the game will make him feel a bit better.

Lenin hope you get a break.

Hazey Sorry... my fault.

Ben10NeverAgain · 13/04/2012 21:04

No exercise from me except pelvic floors Grin

Ben10NeverAgain · 13/04/2012 21:05

Squeeze Grin

creatovator · 13/04/2012 21:14

Yes Ben, and with those ABs you probably won't put on the calories either. Every cloud and all that Grin.

signandsmile · 13/04/2012 21:20

Hey all, visitors gone, Grin sorry to hear about the crappy weeks some of you have had... Sad

i am well aware that I need to get back to being 'sensible' (yuck face) with diet, things have gone a bit flabbily again since christmas, Blush gotta bite the bullet (and not the chocolate Wink).

WetAugust · 13/04/2012 21:24

Hi all,

Speedy recovery to all your unwell kids with colds and DH's with self-inflicted injuries Grin

I like easter week on this board because there are usually no horror stories from school and everyone is able to chill.

Tonight has been a marathon photocopying exercise as I hunt out the evidence for DS's 3rd DSA application. They want photocopies of all previous applicataions and medical reports, so that runs to about 45 sheets so far! I'm trying to get it in the post before the postal charges go up as by the time it's finished it's going to be a mega-parcel.

Anyway, it was a tedious job but a good warm-up for the dreaded DLA renewal next month Sad

I stacked all DS's files up tonight - just to see how tall the pile was. It's on way the to 3 foot!

Ellen - many congrats on the nisi. You'll soon be free of the dick. I got mine on DS1's 4th birthday - a day to remember!

You should celebrate - Harvester in LG is good Grin

creatovator · 13/04/2012 21:32

Hi Sign you can have a wee bit of chocolate, just not as much as you'd probably want Wink.

Wet Aaaargh DLA renewal..... shudders then runs away.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/04/2012 21:46

Wet, I'm a up 50 miles north, but I have spent quite a few hours in that Harvester, mostly before it was a Harvester, though, maybe 30 years ago...

WetAugust · 13/04/2012 21:46

Has everyone gone to bed already?

It's not even 10pm Confused

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 13/04/2012 21:48

Exhausted after too much chocolate. Wink Nighty night.
