Coff33 - a new career option perhaps - celebrity hairdresser? Grin

I now have a great mental image of both the boys and the state your bathroom must have been in after all that. Grin

creatovator · 09/03/2012 19:52

Here, here Moose. We seem to forget how neighbours used to all rally round in times of need. We're a much more transient (spelling?) society now.

creatovator · 09/03/2012 19:54

Can I have a proud moment now... DH is currently next door helping set up their new computer Grin.

I'm going to watch Eddie Stobbart now with DD. Will check back in later.

moosemama · 09/03/2012 20:01

There you go creatovator - your dh is proving my point for me. Grin

coff33pot · 09/03/2012 20:11

moose what a time of it you are having! Shock glad your dd has calmed down a bit now bless her and that your DS got a referral to....someone!

creator can we borrow your DH too please lol Grin

coff33pot · 09/03/2012 20:12

And the bathroom? yesssssssss well I cleaned it....then eldest DD cleaned it a bit more once the smears re appeared..........Then DH sat on the loo and wondered why his bum went cold hahahahahahahaaa! It must have had the freeze spray left on it! Grin

moosemama · 09/03/2012 20:20

Lol at freeze spray on the loo! Grin

Dd is now having 'sleepy songs' with dh while I sit here listening to him singing Whiskey in the Jar to her over the monitor. Grin

I am soooo relieved they are all finally in bed!

Chundle · 09/03/2012 20:22

Have had a shitty week :( dd2 has screamed relentlessly and hit and kicked me all week (this is the child who the HV tell me is NORMAL), she was headbutting me and the wall today. My uncle died yesterday which has upset me and dd1. I went to doc today as I just don't feel well constantly tired and feel very on edge he's going to test for diabetes and thyroid. Feel like I can't cope with dd2 or anything at the moment its all a bit shit.

coff33pot · 09/03/2012 20:26

oh noooo HUGS chundle :(
I am so sorry to read about your uncle its a hard time for you all xxx

Do you think some of DD2 behaviour is because she senses something is up?

Hope you dont have too much of a bad weekend x

Chundle · 09/03/2012 20:29

Thanks Coff , dd2 has been like this for a while now she just has these insane exorcist type tantrums and nothing brings her out of them. She even screws her eyes up tightly so she can't see me whilst she's screaming for hours on end. It really is relentless :(
Sigh :(
She's only 2.6 its going to get worse isn't it!

moosemama · 09/03/2012 20:38

Oh Chundle Sad

So sorry to hear what a horrible time you are having.

Condolensces on the loss of your uncle.

((hugs))

Chundle · 09/03/2012 20:40

Thanks moose going to bed to get an early nite hopefully will be a better day today

creatovator · 09/03/2012 21:07

Coff33 Yes, you can borrow DH. You got a computer problem too?

Chundle So sorry to hear it's so tough. Sending hugs too. Sleep well.

coff33pot · 09/03/2012 21:28

creator yes! I do I have a recyle bin problem. I delete and it does not go into by recyle bin Confused

Also it says it is corrupt but there is nothing in it to corrupt it? If your DH can get his head around that one then this woman will be in love forever LOL......ahem......from a distance of course Grin

bochead · 09/03/2012 21:30

Imogen - shrink hasn't got a clue what to do so blames you - ignore! So glad the MRI went OK - those things are scary!

Chundle - ear defenders for you are needed methinks Wink Sorry to hear you are feeling grotty.

Decorating - oooh I wish, been trying to summon up the courage for 18 months now. DS has a new bed and the flat pack has just been sitting there for a fortnight to give him time to adjust.

Moose - think I like your Mama!

DS had 2 days off school this week as he got a touch of delayed shock following his attack nearly 2 weeks ago. Seems OK again now though. I'm ever so pleased that the collodial silver balm has helped the grim looking grazes on his face heal totally. (he couldn't tolerate being asked by all and sundry in the playground what had happened to his face). It's ever so pricey but in this instance, money well spent and I'd rec' it to others.

Am wondering why all te recruitment agents this week have asked about roles in the Midlands, when I've only been applying for London jobs?

creatovator · 09/03/2012 21:36

Coff33 Will ask him when he gets back. He's still next door.... and hands off he's mine Grin. Far too good to let go.. not that I'm being possessive or anything Wink.

Boc Glad your DS2 is on the mend.

LollipopViolet · 09/03/2012 21:47

Hi everyone! Hugs to those who need them, smiles to those having a good week :)

Right. Film is going well, but 2nd one isn't. Sooo, had a tutorial with my course leader today. He's going to be my supervisor for one film, and leave my flying film to my current supervisor, then I should get the attention I need (only person in my year making 2 films due to retaking 2 modules).

He's also said he's going to help me with my CV, and looking for jobs, and looking at charities that help out visually impaired people, because they all have media departments, might be a route to a job, although not the one I wanted to take (didn't want a job based on my eyesight - now I know i just need a job!).

In other news, went to the gym yesterday for a session with a personal trainer. Apparently, I have overly tight/inflexible muscles in my legs.

My feet and knees turn out, and apparently, this should've been picked up on and corrected when I was young, because now, I've got to focus on keeping my feet turned in and my knees in line, while doing my exercise programme.

Can I just say, to those that have to do physio/stretching with your DC, I really feel for them! PT woman said before she could do anything with me, she needed to stretch my muscles. Ow, ow, ow, ow! IT HURTS! :( Anyone know any good stretches I can do by myself for every muscle from my bum to my ankles? Apparently they're ALL too tight!

Anyway, I've got to book another session to get my full programme based on yesterday's session, my goals etc. And I've got a 4 day food diary to do, that I'll start tomorrow.

Erm, what else. 4 months with lovely BF, oh, and I do my first proper airfield shoot a week tomorrow, doing my interviews. AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!

creatovator · 09/03/2012 21:52

Hi Lolli Sounds like you're getting everything sorted out. Sorry haven't got any ideas for stretches.... though pilates is meant to be good for that type of thing, maybe you could get a book.

On the other hand a good laugh is meant to do sort everything out too Grin.

coff33pot · 09/03/2012 22:08

Hi lolli you have had an eventfull week! :) good luck on the job hunting/filming. Only stretchy sort of excercise I remember we used to do before step aerobics was sitting on the floor legs front and grabing your foot ahead of you and sort of pull/lifting it short way off ground, hold then release :)

Thanks creator if your DH has any ideas that would be great. I have a feeling its a command promt thingy but I am too much of a coward to do it as all my accounts are on this system. And no I wont steal him it really will be appreciation from miles lol My lovely DH would be heartbroken if I swapped his DIY skills for a computer genius lol he has a hard enough time with my pics of Johnny Depp heheheheee

Becaroooo · 09/03/2012 22:11

chundle I am sorry for your loss x

moose I wish my mum felt that way Sad She makes it perfectly clear that me (and my problems) are a burden....she does not feel this way about my sis or bro, however Hmm Bitter? Moi? Smile

When I (foolishly) told her I was worried about next week her reply was "well, ds1 will just have to get used to it". Sigh. Thanks, mum. Thats really helpful. I wouldnt mind so much but I only ask for her help in an emergency.

When ds1 was a baby - after I said that due to my answers to a questionairre the mw asked me to fill in I thought I might be depressed - she replied "you havent got time to be depressed" - This is the same woman I nursed through 2 nervous breakdowns in my teens and early 20s. Sad

I would rather do it on my own tbh...PILs are very good but its a constant battle to get them to do what I ask, rather than what they feel is best/right IYSWIM?

Sorry, didnt mean to moan so much! Blush

dh in a mood as he wants to sort the skype out so better go..........

Hi - anyone still up?

I will be until about 3am.

DS (Aspie) is out on the town with his Uni friends. It's the first time he's ever been in the city centre at night. They are going clubbing!

First phone call was at 2130 when he couldn't find the coach they had all hired.

Then a text to say he was on the coach

Another phone call at 2245 to say the doorman wouldn't let him in a club because he was wearing white trainers. Could I come and get him and bring him home?

Another call 5 minutes later to say the group had decided to go to a different club - so no need for me to come and get him.

Sitting here, waiting for his next call.

Cant even have Wine in case I have to drive later.

This is life with a 23 yo Aspie.

Grin
frizzcat · 09/03/2012 23:38

I'm still up and laughing at your post Wet - really glad your ds is out enjoying himself with FRIENDS - my ds is HFASD according to pead she would have labelled AS if the language had notbeen delayed.

Although you're probably a little worried I bet you're over the moon that he's out socialising and probably having a great time - in fact where is he I'll join him Grin

frizzcat · 09/03/2012 23:41

Ps - I will have a Wine for you .....no, don't thank me least I could do

WetAugust · 10/03/2012 00:07

Grrrr

If you want to join him he's the one in Bristol city centre standing outside the club, wearing white trainers and using his mobile - to call me again!!

Yes, it's nice to see him socialising - at last. Smile
