Mouseface · 21/01/2012 09:38

Thank you for the welcome Smile

Bec (can I call you that?) - leaky roofs are a NIGHTMARE! Sorry that you've woken up to it again.

We have a blocked toilet and a 60th to go to today. DH is in a FOUL mood. He's just stormed off to the DIY store to see what they suggest.

I don't think I can repeat what I suggested. Wink

Have a nice weekend all.

Lollipop - lovely news Smile

LollipopViolet · 21/01/2012 10:21

Aww thank you ladies :) Nothing's certain, obviously, but conversations have been had along that line, so I'm just going to enjoy the journey and not worry too much about the destination - I'm a believer in the phrase "everything happens for a reason" :)

Becaroooo · 21/01/2012 14:11

mouseface You can call me what you like! Smile

Sorry about the blocked loo (yuck) There have been further developements here in that the boiler is now leaking too....you couldnt make it up, could you?? Smile

Oh well.

Mouseface · 23/01/2012 15:02

Bec - how's the boiler situation? And yes, you couldn't make it up but our builder calls our house The Leaking Cottage because every single job we try to get done, involving water, always ends in leaks.

Currently, our brand new bathroom has a leaking sink and a leaking shower. We had a leaky loo too but that finally got sorted. Now we are dealing with all of the water damage. Not great when you have a child with respiratory issues! There was mould and damp everywhere, we even woke to running water one morning, all down the hall walls.

The loo is now unblocked. It took two hours of jiggling a wire coat hanger, drain unblocker and a fair bit of swearing and finally, we managed to dislodge the blockage (toilet tissue) and then get ready for the party we were going too.

We had a great night, Nemo went dressed in his Postman Pat PJs and slippers ready for when he fell asleep. He was as good as gold, we only had two vomits with his reflux but other than that, a fantastic night Smile

I'm going into hospital tomorrow and I'm hoping to be home in the afternoon. I'm having two injections into my spine, one in each side to help with my pain. I have a number of back conditions and have relied on morphine in the past but my body is now not responding to it was good as it was so injections are the next step.

I just hope I'll be okay to care for Nemo as his respite workers can't get here until Thursday and DH is working. With a bit of luck I'll be back on my feet with no issues at all.

How is everyone else doing? Smile

Becaroooo · 23/01/2012 18:41

mouse Good news about the loo! Best of luck with the injections...hope you are up and about for thursday x

Now the gas fire isnt working Smile Honestly, its going to be the roof next week isnt it???? Grin

Taken ds1 to the GP tonight as there is blood on the tissue after he wipes after a poo Sad They are referring him to the paed Sad Trying not to google "bleeding bottom"

Mouseface · 23/01/2012 21:25

Bec - as daft as this might sound, he could have had a 'hard' poo and it's scratched his bottom.

DD had this when she was little once. The other thing could be a little pollop (SP?) or pile. Please don't worry sweets. And for the love of Jeff, DON'T GOOGLE!!

Is it like a 'spot' of blood, like if you picked a spot and it bled, you'd get a round blood mark?

Thank you for the well wishes too xx

Becaroooo · 24/01/2012 08:41

I will not google!

He went to the loo last night and no blood, so hopefully whatever it was its stopped now.

Bad backs are awful..had a herniated disc and bursitis last summer...not nice Sad

Evening, happy Friday Smile

I thought I'd start the Friday Night thread off by leaving a few bottles of Wine and some chocolates for when the DCs are in bed, medicated or the need arises.

Hope you've all had a decent week. Nemo had his first bumped head today at nursery, he was run over by a faster, bigger never bloody listens when told to slow down child with a trolley. She was chasing the other children and went for him too, up he went over the trolley and landed on his face and hands Sad

He's a tough little chap, had a cry and then wanted to go back out and play. I had to 'remove' myself as his mother from the situation otherwise I'd have made it a lot worse I think.

Bec - how are the leaks? We now have a replacement shower tray but it's not been fitted properly so I've been a very shouty Mouse today.

Has your roof stopped? And is the fire fixed?

What are the plans for the weekend here? Anyone doing anything exciting? Smile

Mouseface · 27/01/2012 18:00

Oh, and how is DS Bec? Any better? x
