For those who've been following the situation re me and my breast cancer treatment (still looking as though it's been successful), some more cheering news:
I've been appointed as an official Adviser to the All Party Parliamentary Group on autism, working with MPs and members of the House of Lords and a large number of the national experts. Should be fun/challenging. It's certainly an honour, and an unexpected one. Much to do.

Many thanks to all here who have cheered me on through the last months...
Have a celebratory Brew or Wine

Yay - what a fantastic piece of news, they have SO got the right person! Any chance of putting in a word for how much help many of us have found from ABA, and the battles we have to fight to get it?

amberlight · 24/10/2011 13:33

All the experiences and knowledge gained from all and any source will be useful in the weeks, months and years to come, yup. Personal experiences would never be used without a person's full permission, though. There's very good ABA representation on that panel, along with all sorts of other things, thankfully.
