Aha, I get in first this week, Grin. It's been a week of firsts this week at chez sign. Ds did his first full day at school on Wed..... and coped. Grin. I did my first day at college for the PGCE course, which was fab, and scary, Grin. and Ds got his first party invite from a friend whoes parents aren't friends of ours IYSWIM.... Grin Grin Grin. The little girls mum said ds was the first person on her list of people to come, (I could kiss her!)

I've had a meeting with the children's workers at church and we have formulated a plan for ds to be able to access/cope with kids church, (he is too physically big to be in creche anymore, but what they do in kids church is completely above him) but we have worked out materials he can access and a space where he can just relax and play, and the bits where he will manage and enjoy, (I could kiss them too! Grin)

An all round enjoyable, but knackering week, Wink

How is eveyrone else?

Delighted to hear your church is being so accomadating. Grin

Not as good a week here, DS was off school last Friday as was complaining of a headache after a child was shoved into him with such force that the intended victim lost consciousness.

As he's already had 2 days off with a bad cold we've beem summonsed to see the School Welfare officer.

signandsmile · 07/10/2011 17:54

oh no! that's a bit excessive! Hmm

Smile to sign
Shock to sauvignon

Well things here are a bit strained, with some good things thrown in
DS has started cubs with a carer and is really being accepted-and he's enjoying it.
Sauvignon your name has given me an idea..............

SauvignonBlanche · 07/10/2011 18:02

Wine time here too!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/10/2011 18:18

Hi all. Boys are with dickhead until 8, so quiet until then.

Sounds like a great week, sign.

Not so good, sauvignon.

Cubs around here are pretty inclusive, into. I hope he enjoys it.

DS2 had a scary experience of catching the wrong school bus home. Major panic for everyone but thank God for mobile phones. He eventually answered his and I tracked him down.

I had a bit of a ding dong with dickhead on Sunday. He'd arranged to take DS1 out for a burger without telling me, when he was just supposed to be picking him up, which turned into a bit of a final straw for my civility and dignity! I packed up all his clothes into bin bags and left them by the gate. When he arrived I told him (forcefully but using fairly innocuous language) what I thought about changing agreed arrangements. He told me not to shout at him, so I completely lost it, screamed and shouted at him, told him exactly what I would and could do etc. Then I ripped all the bin bags open and threw his clothes around the pavement with gay abandon. Blush Upsetting at the time, but it must have been great to have been a fly on the wall, (or a neighbour)

unpa1dcar3r · 07/10/2011 18:37

Evening all
A mixed week for everyone! Blimey Ellen, do you think it worked? Bet it made you feel good at the time haha.
Ooh some of these ex's leave a lot to be desired!
My present ex and I have a fab relationship, best friends at the moment, long may it last, but i've had 2 before who were total wastes of space and air and did a fair bit of screaming at them from time to time to try n get thru their thick heads. Never worked BUT both daughters don't have owt to do with them (their choice) cos they realised, being the bright and clever individuals that they are, that their sperm donors were complete twonks fairly quickly. Wink

Anyway generally a good week here, few things not so good, but in the main excellent. And now chilling with my gorgeous boys...in front of log burner which so far hasn't cos the a penny cos i collected all the wood from the forests round this way!
Smile

Triggles · 07/10/2011 18:39

Sign - sounds like a good week! Yay!

Ellen - oooooh - very maddening of him to change things! Don't blame you - (was it a little satisfying to throw his clothing all over? if it was, then it was definitely worth it - regardless of what any neighbours might think Grin)

Sauv - after missing 3 days they're on your case about attendance?? yikes!!

DH back to work this week. Actually seen some improvement, thank god. And I got out to coffee twice and a playgroup. So fairly good week for me. A few arguments with DH here and there - he was frankly kind of rotten this evening for a bit, but then he backed off and apologised, he's a bit wobbly, but it's end of work week and he's tired, so I'll let him be a bit cranky, as long as he's polite to me and the kids. He can grouse at the tv. Grin

Triggles · 07/10/2011 18:41

Oh, and I forgot to add - I LOVE DS2's school! He has a farm trip on Monday, and the SENCO and the TA have both met with me this week, asking for any concerns I might have about the trip, they wrote up a stellar risk assessment and emailed it to me yesterday, asking for more feedback, then printed up a final copy and went over it with me today. It's the first time he's left school property with them, and they know I'm nervous about it - but they're being so careful to prepare him for the trip and be prepared themselves.... what a huge relief to me!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 07/10/2011 18:43

oh god ellen, doesn't get better does it, you'd think he'd keep his head down for a bit! How was the birthday?

into, hope he has a great time, cubs is pretty good here, ds1 is in scouts now and absolutley loves it Smile

sauvignon, he's off because of something that happened at school and they've asked you to see the ewo (or ewoks as my mum used to call them Grin) wow! Hope your ds is ok.

sign, sounds fab, what a lovely church and well done ds for doing the full day and yourself for college! Must be different being on the other side for you Smile

just waiting to get dd3s ipad, can't wait, she'll love it Smile Just need to sort insurance and a tough case, anyone got any ideas?

signandsmile · 07/10/2011 18:46

triggles glad you had a better week this week and that dh is back at work.
ellen neighbours may have been cheering you on! Smile
into so glad cubs is going well, when you find somewhere that's willing to put in the bit of extra effort it's great....
unpaid hiya! Envy for the log burner, (altho ds is clutching a microwavable monkey he was given last week, and has just said, "herbie new monkey is hot now!" Grin

Hello all

Still not able to type much but I'm home after op no 2 and recovering.

Just wanted to say Ellen I would have been cheering you on Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/10/2011 18:52

Ninja, birthday was OK, a school day so couldn't do much. I was forced to go to KFC, though. My favourite dining establishment! Ipad, DS1 will be very jealous!

Hi unpa1d, dickhead isn't even officially ex yet! Unfortunately, he's usually quite a decent dad, just a shit H! It was quite cathartic, but a bit Jeremy Kyle!

Hi Triggles. So glad your DH is back at work. Just hope things keep improving. The more I hear about your DS's school, the better it sounds...

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/10/2011 18:53

I think I'm a bit sorry more neighbours didn't see! Grin

SauvignonBlanche · 07/10/2011 18:55

He's fine thanks Ninja but understandably was a bit shaken about it all.

signandsmile · 07/10/2011 18:59

cross post, and then interruption for story telling, Grin hi ninja yeah it's a bit scary, I keep wanting to say be gentle with me Grin, also everyone else already done PTLLS or DTLLS, so I feel a bit of a dufuss...

yay for Trigglets school, Grin and wlecome home ben10.

intothewest · 07/10/2011 19:00

Gosh, ELLEN bet the curtains were twitching !!!!!

Triggles · 07/10/2011 19:04

Ellen - aw, sometimes we need a little Jeremy Kyle moment to make us feel better. And wine... there's always time for wine.... Grin

unpa1d - yes, I'm a bit jealous of the log burner as well. We have an open fireplace here, and I've been thinking about having a fire in it soon... but I think we need to have the chimney swept first

ben10 - hope your feeling a bit better soon. take it easy!

ninja - hi! no idea on a tough case for an ipad. I'd be afraid of damaging it myself, much less letting DS2 near one!

Ben10WasTheSpawnNowWeLoveLego · 07/10/2011 19:09

Ninja here you go

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/10/2011 19:14

How's the recovery going, Ben10? Nice to see you typing and googling.

Chundle · 07/10/2011 19:17

Hi all glad to hear you're all busy busy :)
Dd1 being naughty this week! But her new school have done a conners and its not scored as highly as last shook which is good on one hand as means they are managing her well but on other hand means we may not get trial of medication despite her being hideous at home as it was dependent on conners. But I am very pleased school are managing her what a relief!

Dd2 had a visit from a sleep counsellor today which I built my hope up about and was left deflated when they said there was little else they could suggest! Gutted

Ben10WasTheSpawnNowWeLoveLego · 07/10/2011 19:21

Managing to walk DS to school at the end of the road at the moment Ellen but making rice tonight appears to have been too much for me although I have done nothing all day.

Struggling with how much more aspergic (is that a word?) DS has been as we haven't run our life to make things easier for us/him.

Ben10WasTheSpawnNowWeLoveLego · 07/10/2011 19:22

Off to bed now to lurk

lisad123 · 07/10/2011 19:23

Fairly boring week here. DD2 is finally over her bug and allegeric reaction :) so back to school Grin
Had a friends funereal on Monday which was very sad :(
Off to a committee meeting in about 20 mins, to plan the activities for half term and xmas, for the girls with ASD group Hmm so tired all i want to do is sleep.

LollipopViolet · 07/10/2011 19:35

Hi all. Looks like another mixed week for people. Hope those who need it have access to Wine

Had a bad week really, because on Saturday I started with feeling lethargic, chills, tired. Turned into a full on tummy bug by Monday. Never had one, never want one again, better now but still not firing on all cylinders. But...

I go on holiday on Wednesday!!!!!

Stupidly excited already, have stuck rainbows, smiley faces and little feet all over my suitcase - I'll definitely be able to find it on the carousel thingy now!

And I emailed Easyjet to make sure they had a note about my eyesight. They rang me 2 days later with LOTS of info, and even some that appeals to the, I can't describe it properly, but you know how those of you with ASD children explain things to them in advance? I like that, it makes me feel safe. Anyway, she went through basically how to go about getting through the airport and that at no time, even at security, would me and my friend be split up, because they know about my sight.

So that's all good. Now I have to win the battle between procrastination and a suitcase before Wednesday and actually pack!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 07/10/2011 19:38

Hi Lollipop. Can't believe your holiday has come around at last. Have a fabulous time and think of the airport as the first part of your holiday, rather than something to be endured. (Easier said than done, maybe!)
