Aha, I get in first this week, Grin. It's been a week of firsts this week at chez sign. Ds did his first full day at school on Wed..... and coped. Grin. I did my first day at college for the PGCE course, which was fab, and scary, Grin. and Ds got his first party invite from a friend whoes parents aren't friends of ours IYSWIM.... Grin Grin Grin. The little girls mum said ds was the first person on her list of people to come, (I could kiss her!)

I've had a meeting with the children's workers at church and we have formulated a plan for ds to be able to access/cope with kids church, (he is too physically big to be in creche anymore, but what they do in kids church is completely above him) but we have worked out materials he can access and a space where he can just relax and play, and the bits where he will manage and enjoy, (I could kiss them too! Grin)

An all round enjoyable, but knackering week, Wink

How is eveyrone else?

I actually don't mind airports Ellen, but this is the first time we've flown without our respective families so it's all a bit "ooh, ahh, what do we do now?" at the minute. I reckon once we get there I'll remember how we used to do things as a family and it'll be fine :)

triggles, big yay for school Smile Dd3's getting the ipad through the family fund, she can't access our desktop on her own, even then it's tricky so this is going to be amazing for her. I'm very nervous about it getting thrown!!!

Evening

Just popping in briefly as I'm not long for my bed. Totally exhausting week here, both boys had hospital appointments, ds2's was good news, ds1's threw up more questions than answers. Hmm

Then I had my neurology appointment yesterday and have been booked in for a brain, neck and spine MRI at the beginning of November - I really hate MRIs and was praying she'd say I didn't need one. Hmm

Had ds2's new best friend round for tea this evening and within minutes of walking in he'd commented on how old and small our house is compared to 'my really big brand new one'. Hmm Then, having been shown to the boys bedroom and come back downstairs for the toilet, he asked if my living room was dd's playroom, where was the living room and could we show him the boys' playroom! Shock He also had apalling table manners, apparently doesn't know the words please or thank you and didn't wash his hands after he went to the toilet - thus doing a good job of reminding me why I have always avoided having friends around to play in the past. Odd thing is, that despite all that I still liked him. Confused None of it was malicious, just came from a place of priviledge that means he has obviously never had to cross the threshold of a old and tatty ex-council house in his life before. Ah well - at least we broadened his horizons! Grin

Sauvignon, sorry to hear about the incident at school - hope youre ds is ok.

Ellen - you go girl! I'm always really in awe of ladies who find their power to stand up for themselves and their dcs against useless h/ex-h's. Hopefully he'll think twice before messing you around again.

Ben10 - good to hear you are home and recovering. What were you doing cooking rice anyway - you should be resting!

Sorry to anyone I've missed, I am soooo tired and its all gone in and then straight out again.

Mixed week all around thenHmm.

Dd3 has had a full on anxiety attack at school this weekSad.
Luckily the brilliant SENCO was walking past the medical room as it was kicking off and she had started to clam her down by the time I arrived.

For the first time I actually felt supported and I came home without Dd3 and left them to sort her out. They are going to put some stuff in place for her so that she doesn't keep getting sent home because she feels sick.

She is really struggling with me looking after DGD and I was on the verge of giving it up but I really don't want to do that and the SENCO thinks that we need to try to work through it rather than throwing the towel in.

Oh well, keep plodding on. Am knackered and off to bed, hope everyone has a good weekendSmile.
